It released on PC which has had tons of games come out 🤷
And it has been well received and high performing on Steam.
“ Not only is High on Life a hit on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, it’s found success on Steam. SteamDB says that for the week ending December 18, it was the platform’s biggest-selling game. It was behind only Steam Deck on the chart (which is based on revenue) and ahead of big hitters like Modern Warfare II, FIFA 23 and God of Wa...
+1 I would love to see a sequel.
I took a gamble and ignored the reviews and ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
Now onto DS remake and RE4… let’s see how those fair up.
Those stats basically mean nothing without digital data though - GI.biz say so themselves.

I kinda expected FF to come in higher than 8th - but on the flip side, this is physical only.
I’ll never understand why people buy a soccer game every year but I guess people say the same about COD.
I read that and assumed they meant 5 and 6. But realistically, those games don’t even deserve a remake.
@Surgical Where did I say DS was not a good game? I said it was his weakest - which it is.
@Knush MGS5 is stealth gameplay perfected. It’s hard to beat that - and DS certainly doesn’t.
There’s a reason why MGS5 is sitting in the 90s and DS is in the low 80s.
Well deserved. Cuphead was a breath of fresh air, one of the best indie games of recent times.
Exactly. For the most part, Steam makes PC gaming as easy as console gaming.
The same cannot be said for all the other launchers.
Ironically it’s probably the best NFS game in a long time. But EA barely marketed it, essentially stealth launched it - and I think the art style doesn’t appeal to a lot of people.
It’s also ironic because the answer to their NFS problems is staring them right in the face - do a good remake of NFSU.
I think I can sum this up easily for Capcom:
- Remake 1 + CV
- Skip on 5 + 6
You’re welcome, enjoy selling a lot of units!
This too, remake both.
CV didn’t age that well and is hard to access nowadays.
Agree that RE2 should be the target for every other remake. That thing was just perfection.
@Madlad Yeah you learn to ignore it lol, ultimately votes mean nothing and normally just mean the person doesn’t like you, not that they actually disagree with what you’ve written.
Back on topic, while the RE1 remake holds up well, I would love to see it remade in the style of RE2. For me, RE1 is one of the very few games that never gets old and I can replay all th...
I mainly stick on Steam for the overall experience. The UX is awful on pretty much every other launcher - terrible UIs, random bugs etc.
Steam is pretty intuitive and just works.
Kojima is my favorite creative in this industry - but that doesn’t mean I blindly worship everything he does.
DS is his weakest modern game to date. Anyone who disagrees is saying that DS is better than MGS 1-5… that’s crazy talk.
Also people are allowed to change opinion :p
Especially a year after launch - I enjoyed the game at launch but the post launch has been a mess. Lots of delays too, and where was Forge?
@Sully I’m on vacation for Christmas, expect sporadic activity :)
Sounds like you didn’t read the article.
Do I think the game was terrible? No. I played through it, I had fun with the campaign and visually it’s not the best looking game, but it was a step up from what they showed initially back when it was originally meant to launch (not that that’s a high bar, we all remember Craig).
However I do believe it was obvious to anyone that given how much of a terrible job 343 has done with the Halo franchise, that this game...
@Knush You just highlighted the problem perfectly - the only AAA taking part in console VR is Capcom. Where is COD VR? Battlefield VR, GTA VR? All the big pubs are skipping on it because they don’t believe in its future - if they did they’d be investing in it now.
@Apocalyspe At the time I thought MS were insane for not getting into VR, but looking back on it, given where we are now, that seems like a very smart decision.
Honda making VR for car showrooms...
Meanwhile, back in the real world, what I actually said was:
“I don't need/want ads in my game”
Reading comprehension is difficult 🙄
Definitely. I’ve been loving it so far. If you like the comedy style, it’s a hilarious playthrough - no game has made me laugh this much.
It’s crazy to see this reach the top 4 most played on Xbox - even overtaking Destiny & Overwatch.
It also reached the #2 slot for sales on Steam (#1 being SteamDeck).
