They should just make it not flash on the back of players… it wouldn’t even make sense to run around with it on your back armed.
And since you can’t prone you can’t really look through it properly when planted.
You cracked me up good with this one.
p.s. We do need a reboot of Fat Princess!
Halo 5 came out back in 2015, they are no longer updating it :P
And I thought I'd put on a lot of weight during COVID...
Where are the sales numbers? We don't care about stats like bullets fired, times died, enemies killed etc.
@majiebeast Source? Sony have so far only confirmed 10m in sales.
I guess I'm not sure why Halo is relevant here, but Halo 5 sold 5m within 3 months. HZD took 2 years to get to 10 mil. It's very likely Halo sold more than HZD... and Halo has sold 15m in the past. As for BOTW... BOTW has sold at least 18 million copies.
Interns making the investors presentation? You'd hope someone higher up would be doing this and that Sony would know their own product branding...
@waverider You are the one talking about 30fps or visual quality or other platforms - not me.
I simply said the game is on PS4 and therefore is not necessarily a reason to upgrade to PS5 and that there are better examples of reasons to upgrade to a PS5.
By going off on a rant about Xbox you just make yourself sound unconfident in your purchase and like you need to justify your purchase to yourself for some bizarre reason.
“if its as you say "free on every other platform and has no reason to be a paid feature" ... I'm sorry but this has absolutely nothing to do with Sony”
I think you are misunderstanding what I’m saying - the one charging for this functionality is Sony and they are charging the developer. Not the developer charging the players or Sony charging the players.
So yes, if that is why they failed, the failure is on Sony’s part and they should align ...
@Flawlessmic Where did I say anything is being held back by last gen?
I simply stated the obvious - something that is on both generations is not a reason alone to buy a $500 next gen console - and that applies to HFW, Halo and any other cross gen game.
The real reason to buy a PS5 is for the games you can’t get on PS4 - like Ratchet (which IMO is the best looking game so far - and better looking than HFW).
Because it makes the player pool bigger, reduces matchmaking times and lets you play with any friends/family regardless of which hardware they have?
That is more cross-buy than cross-play. Cross-play is when you are on a PS playing multiplayer with Xbox users.
While it would be awesome to have one copy that plays everywhere, platform holders would never allow it and there are logistical issues since each platform has its own data formats, disk layout, printing mechanism, licensing model etc.
1. Because it says it is a certification issue, Sony sets the certification requirements, not the publisher.
2. Why should developers/publishers have to get inline with 'what Sony wants' if what they want is the dev/pub PAYING for cross-play which is free on every other platform and has no reason to be a paid feature...
Looking forward to this, so far so good!
@ocelot07 Useful for those in the UK, but I didn't ask for the UK. I asked for the US. Apparently it's super easy to find Series S everywhere and those 3 stores in the UK are not an anomaly, so should be easy to find it everywhere in the US, no?
@waverider "There no sold out for weeks"
XSS, XSX and PS5 all sell out here in the US.
So in summary, yawn, are we still pretending people can just walk into Walmart and find 1...
@Flawlessmic It doesn't, similarly it doesn't diminish HFW either - but it certainly means both games are NOT why you 'buy a next-gen console' or 'how you hype next-gen' when both exist on current gen.
"This is why you get a next gen console. Hot damn. This is how you hyoe next gen."
Except it's also on PS4... game does look great though.
This will just be a cost reduction - doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the original model, and the changes will not even be visible to consumers.
That sounds like a short term problem - 6 months is a very small time in the grand scheme of things and it's not like we are swimming in PS5 exclusives for the past 6 months either - and obviously Xbox had games they were intending on releasing that got hit by COVID - which is unfortunate.
Anyway, I'll happily invest in a subscription if it means I'm getting Forza, Halo, etc and all the Zenimax games day 1 without spending $70 per game. Same applies to Sony'...
@drabscorpion
Please do tell us with all your knowledge how Microsoft is reliant upon “legacy PC hardware” given that their console also has a SSD too and the console is actually higher spec than PS5…
