The situation is not as 100% clear cut as the headline makes out though.
- 1440p vs 1080p max res, but average is actually 1260p vs 1080p

So slightly lower res, but a more stable/consistently hit resolution and better visuals.

This will be the first time we have a tech demo (or any kind of product) to properly compare UE5 on PS5 and XSX. Also interested to see how the engine scales down to Series S. It should make for an interesting Digital Foundry video.
Sure, Fortnite has launched UE5 on those consoles, but that isn't really pushing any boundaries.
This is kinda standard for open world games I guess, but I would like to see them add the ability to jump to a specific mission after completing the game.
That being said, I'm probably going to replay the campaign once campaign co-op launches - assuming the campaign is as good as the reviews are claiming.
Agreed. I kinda expect them to be doing a KZ game next. I don't see them going onto a 3rd iteration of Horizon immediately, and I don't see them going off to make a new IP again that soon.
So I expect (and am hopeful for) a KZ 'reboot'.
I'd say it's a bit early in the generation to call a game 'game of the generation', and to be honest, if the best game we're getting this generation is a cross-gen game from this early on in the generation when devs haven't truly mastered the hardware, the industry has issues and we've got a lamer than expected next 8-9 years with these consoles.

I think you're having difficulty reading what he has said. You need to be online to install it, afterwards, you can play offline. You just need internet for that initial download. Not sure what's hard to understand about that.
That's also very common nowadays when games struggle to fit on disks, and Smart Delivery has made that worse since multiple versions of the game need to be on one disk to be truly offline.

It’s common for games to required extra content via download when purchasing the disk nowadays, this has been the norm for a while on most consoles (minus Switch). A lot of games also out strip the disk size now - smart delivery also contributes to that problem.
If I get a disk and install it - can I play offline? Yes - so not always on.
Also I will be playing this on PC not Xbox, so it’s not an “X...

There was an interview with Yamauchi a few months back where he stated there will be two graphics modes. We won't know for sure until launch, but obviously Yamauchi is a reliable source.
But what does it matter anyway? It'll be fine & totally playable in both modes. Plenty of games have two modes, it's normal nowadays.
