It’s a personal preference, I’m against always online for single player experiences. It also totally cripples any kind of game preservation.
Yes, FH5 and GT7 both run at dynamic in performance. Native in visual fidelity modes.
From what I’ve seen, most offline game modes are not always online on Xbox, PS, PC or Switch.
I do have an Xbox One and a PC game pass subscription. Also got PS4, PS5 and Switch. PS5 + PC are my primary platforms though.
Forza did get good reviews, but for me, racing games are easily skippable tbh. They don’t provide the feeling of progression that I need in a video game really. Totally a personal preference of course and doesn’t mean racing games aren’t good games.
For the above reason though it makes it even easier for me to pass up. I’m sure ot...
I’m probably going to skip on this just out of principle if they don’t reverse the always online.
I can live without a racing game anyway and Q1 2022 is already packed.
@fr0sty Only the graphics team works on graphics… and there will obviously be graphics bugs to fix as they go through cert.
Realistically when you factor in cert and printing disks etc, they have about 1-2 months left, plus some Japanese holidays in the middle reducing it a bit further.
No one is adding or improving things, and shaking the jello, that close to release unless the game is launching as a mess OR being delayed.
It’s dynamic res if you enable the performance mode - not native.
@Snookies13 I’d say Bungie will end up back at MS sooner rather than later, they will clearly be an acquisition target for MS and they’ve been pretty cosy since they left Activision behind (looking back on it, that was a great decision).
Unfortunately, studio closures are common. The same can be said about EA, Activision and Sony.
He also wasn’t calling the shots when those studios got canned. So far the studios acquired under Phil Spencer seem happy and have a decent amount of freedom.
He’s probably referring to the limited integration studio stuff they have today rather than molding these companies into big corporate Microsoft. Maybe Bungie would’ve stuck around in that scenario.
I don't expect STALKER 2 to be more impressive or larger in world size or content size than RDR2. That's not a hit on STALKER, I loved the first. I just don't expect that to be the case.
Those were separate statements. I mentioned COD because WZ is humungous and I don't expect Stalker to be bigger in install size.
Open world + better looking was a reference to RDR2.
This feels inaccurate. That’s bigger than COD and huge open world games like RDR2 that look a lot better than this and likely have more content too.
It isn’t a good look. Keep up the pressure so they don’t do this again in the future / make it the norm.
It is getting a lot of negative press and customer feedback though so I don’t see them rushing to do this again soon - heck they might even go back and improve this months games, let’s see.
That’s quite a leap you’re making there. My internet provider didn’t promise me anything with my subscription aside from access to the internet and a certain standard of speed.
The fact remains, epic are giving it away for free - no subscription required. A paid subscription is required to get the same content on PS therefore it is not free.
“I'm talking specifically about this situation try to stay on topic. “
You brought up games ...
So we are not allowed to criticize Sony regardless of which missteps they make? Sounds like BS to me.
“ People be grateful that they're getting something for free at all.”
Where did you get your PS+ for free? I am paying for mine…
“ Now do we all grab our torches and pitchforks and go after Epic as well or do we all just target Sony as usual?”
Epic are giving it away for free, Sony are not.
Games with gold has been trash for a while and regularly gets criticized on N4G.
Time to take off the tinfoil hat.
This^
You can also just goto the “recently added” section for an overview.
They don’t have to announce every single game, other streaming services like Netflix etc don’t either.
@darkrider So you don’t like indie games and prefer the repetitive AAA games that mostly lack creativity and innovation… your loss.
Let's hope it doesn't become a recurring theme - if people sit back and just accept it or make excuses, it will.
I only subscribe to PS+ because of the free games and the cloud saves (which shouldn't even be behind a paywall in 2021), and they've slowly but surely been making the PS+ games situation worse over time.
I'd like to see them do the following:
- Continue delivering strong games month to month, no filler content or B...
Yes, but one less :) and Japan still gets more games than we do and PS5 upgrades STILL cost money.
I guess we finally found an exec worse than Bobby Kotick.
There’s a special place in hell for guys like this. Hope he gets a long time in jail with some friendly roommates.
