Looking at the prices, I don’t get why anyone would pay this, I’m assuming these are retail prices and not scalpers but I’m seeing:
$900 for a Halo XSX, $750 for an XSX and $450 for a Series S… that is insane.
It does look like the XSX is doing well in ZA though: https://www.vgchartz.com/ar...
So you’re likely just seeing...
@TheDoomedGuy We did get a drought during the 2nd half of the year. We got one indie game (not knocking Kena, it was a good game, but not GT7, GOW or HFW), but I'll hold and let you name all the big hitters we had come out lately, and which big new game we got for holiday?
@darkrider "The second part. It didn't had blockbusters, but a new ip like kena is also cool. "
I think you just proved my point for me... one indie game for the perio...
The first thing that comes to mind with this is:
“Mom, can we get FIFA?”
“No, we have FIFA at home”
The FIFA at home:
They both had strong years. PS got off to a great start while XB was slow. Then PS tapered off and XB seemed to be delivering top quality game after top quality game. 2022 should be more interesting for the two consoles in terms of competition.
Really, all in all, we were spoiled this year as gamers. I was expecting an awful year for gaming with the pandemic, and yes we had some big titles delayed - but given the circumstances, we had a pretty awesome slate of content this ...
Which country? I’m sure people here (US) would love if it were that easy to get their hands on a next gen console.
It sounds like MS and Nintendo need to put more consoles into NA and less into other regions. Over a year into the generation and I have two PS5’s and have never seen an XSX or Switch OLED - yet other continents can apparently find them with ease.
Sony are doing a better job of fairly supplying the US.
I don't think it's as clear cut as that, it's pretty balanced IMO:
One got the games at launch, the other got a drought.
Then for the 2nd half of the year, one got a drought and the other one got the games.
Both companies should have done a better job of staggering their releases throughout the year (I get that is hard in certain scenarios, like delays).
I really hope this comes to light - with all the original features and modes built in. I tried the leaked version via emulator and it was pretty awesome.
I suspect this is legit though - you can’t create achievements for a title without Microsoft approving your company and your product. So a legit dev/pub made this and Microsoft signed off on it.
I liked Hades and Kena, but Among Us is something I can keep going back to and I've put countless more hours into Among Us than either of those.
Public games are a gamble for sure - I typically avoid them - if you find a good group of friends to play with, it's a pretty awesome game.
Among Us is the best one on the list, probably the first indie game I've sunk this many hours into.
“ Playstation gamers don't expect hardware like controllers”
The controller is one of the best things on the PS5… we expect great hardware and software.
I like the idea of custom boot sequences, having the PS1 and PS2 boot sequences would be awesome.
Now that is a good month!
Well deserved - BOTW was spectacular and by far the best game of the year.
“ Everyone else understands that VGchartz are overestimating XSeries numbers ( just like they did for X360 back then)”
Do you have a source for that? Or is it just more garbage you’re spouting.
If true, they could also be over estimating PS and Switch.
Reliable media outlets: “XSX is outselling XB1”
Gravedigger: “it isn’t true! It can’t be! XB1 sold better, I know! Just don’t ask for my source because I don’t have one!”
I love Remedy - one of the best in the industry - but this’ll be a game I skip on. I refuse to buy anything from Tencent and anyone related to the CCP, thanks.
I suspect the big title is DS2, the challenging title is his rumored ambitious cloud game for Xbox. Both will be great I'm sure.
“ Most people are with ps5 it had the better year.”
Most people don’t base their console experience on how many units it sold… it’s about the games, subscriptions, value for money and the user experience.
