Too much of most things is bad for your health. Everything in moderation.
I have yet to come across a large AAA studio that does not do crunch. Can you give some examples?
90GB? Did they forget to use Kraken... also 'leaks' saying the retail copy is two disks.
Also, for those worried like I was, the article is pretty spoiler free unless you consider the length of sections a huge spoiler. Read at your own risk :)
Also, talk about stating the obvious: "Another point raised is that 30 FPS does not feel as smooth as 60 FPS"
Yeah.. in this game and every other game on the planet.
God no. The last thing we need is Microsoft gobbling up Nintendo.
They forgot to add the part at the bottom of the article:

@S2Killinit Activision may have baggage with the sexual harassment stuff, but this kind of overtime and terrible work culture exists at pretty much every big games studio.
Even some of the industries best like Naughty Dog are guilty of encouraging/requiring such work life balance.
Sadly I don’t see this changing anytime soon, it’s the industry norm.
@phoenix 1000%. Every project I’ve worked on starts out with a “we’re going to plan thi...
Would the original Silent Hill games be censored on PS were they released today?
We already have a board who deals with this - let the ESRB judge them not Sony.
Unfortunately this is common at every AAA studio - and the industry has a lot of work to do in this space.
Delay games rather than make people kill themselves.
@frankvdm You are a pretty lucky guy then! Never seen one in person myself.
Is it really that much worse than other content we have on PS today?
Weird, wasn't this meant to be a game pass game?
Atleast for Xbox? I have PC Game Pass and it's not in there, but looks like the game isn't on PC at all.
Yeah. I have no idea what the formula behind it is. I'm guessing its probably a few factors that can flag you for an invite, spending money or like you said, being a long time user.
I could also be completely wrong and it could just be random 😀
Yep, that's why this news article / headline exists. Because they outsold the crazy amount of Nintendo sales, which is both rare and surprising.
Nothing lame about Insomniac.
When you consider Sony only paid 229m for Insomniac, they got an absolute bargain.
They’ve been firing on all cylinders and banging out constant hits despite being smaller than some other Sony studios.
To be honest I’d even say Insomniac > Bungie, as a developer and for a fraction of the cost.
Walmart and PSDirect is where I've had the most success. I've managed to nab multiple there for myself and for friends
PSDirect has both the queue and invite only events (not sure what the algorithm is for invite events, but it may be related to how much you've spent on PS4/PSN etc).
For Walmart, call your local stores and ask about stock, don't assume the website is up to date. And for digital sales, get the app and make sure your account...
@Skate-AK So you can confirm the PS5 digital actually exists? :P My local Walmart regularly has PS5 in stock but only the physical/disk. I have literally never seen a PS5 digital in person.
Our Fred Meyer doesn't stock electronics unfortunately, it's smaller and just has groceries and some over-priced household decor basically.
And yet, back in the real world, millions of people are still buying the Mario machine and subscription service machine.
Infact, the Mario machine is consistently #1, which is why this headline is news.
Just wanted to say... I love the name Kingdom Karts!
They're not wrong really, I had fun with the campaign and the MP is a blast - but the open world feels tacked on / unnecessary really.
It's an open world for the sake of being able to claim it's an open world game, nothing more.
