Well, I was expecting a bigger discount when you said clearance lol, so I'm a little disappointed - but it is what it is I guess.
They've been 49.99 on the MS store for a while. They also go for 49.99 on Walmart, Target, Amazon etc.
It's only more expensive if you go for the custom colors (non-white/black).
Saying something is on clearance makes it sound like I can go pick it up for $10, not $10 off lol.
Not sure I’d say $40 is clearance when MS are selling them for $50.
Yeah… isn’t the min bar for a QA team finishing the game…
Crazy.
Very true!
Hmm? I just re-read my comment, no where in it did I say PS5 doesn’t sell.
You must be reading someone else’s comment.
Kinda crazy that controllers are now hard to find. That’s definitely not something I had on my 2022 bingo card.
The power of the hardware bundle.
Lego is still holding its own, kinda expected it to drop off by now.
FC5 I’ll have to play - it’s been on my backlog for a while and I just never got around to buying it. Looks pretty fun from watching YT plays.
I’m not explaining anything - you have a web browser and an internet connection - use Google.
You’re just spewing misinformation lol - LM never needs to be replaced and consumers are all opening up their consoles to replace the thermal paste… okay then 😂
Anyway, I’ve made my point - have a good day :)
As will the thermal paste in my PS4 lol.
PS1, 2, 3, 4
Xbox OG, 360, Xbox VCR
N64, GameCube, Wii, WiiU
All still work fine, never replaced thermal paste once.
This idea that general consumers are taking apart their consoles, removing components, and replacing the thermal paste is a fallacy.
A very small minority of people are doing that, and it isn’t really necessary - if it was, Sony MS and Nintendo ...
Good. This game is a rip off by Blizzard and hopefully most people aren’t funding this kinda thing.
I keep your charade going because you’re wrong.
I mean come on, you have this idea that it’s commonplace for consumers to be opening up their games console and removing components and replacing thermal paste, before reconstructing it all. I can totally see your average consumer doing that - imagine Karen the soccer mom deconstructing her PS5 only to rebuild it all 😂
That coupled with the fact that you think we’ve developed an everlasting heat cond...
Well, I consider keeping selling the same game for 3 generations, and re-charging people per generation as anti consumer.
Similarly, I consider GamePass in its current form as very pro consumer.
Thats my opinion, if you don't like it, tough - but you won't change it so don’t waste your time trying. It's as simple as that.
Indeed, they recommend replacing liquid metal every couple of years. But similar to thermal paste, you'll get away without replacing it, realistically, you'll just see an increase of a few degrees (celsius). Even LM in PCs has to be replaced, unless you're claiming that Sony have invented a new metal and new technique... which they haven't.
"And I am certain I have been gaming longer than you"
Which means absolutely nothing.
I never said their sales were bad, I said they are anti-consumer as a company, which they are - and that is obviously why they are anti-subscription. Nothing which you said proves otherwise.
If you're looking for a reason why the industry shouldn't do something which is regarded as pro-consumer, the Take2 CEO's opinion ain't it. Unless you wanna be re-buying the same game for multiple generations in a row, a-la GTA5 & TLOU1.
There is no such thing as a cooling material used today which has no ageing over time.
That being said, like I said above, the heat conductor will never have to be re-applied in any modern console.
I've been gaming for decades and have never once opened a console to re-apply any form of heat conducting material. Your consoles will easily run for the entire generation without opening them up and without issue.
It's either COVID/Ukraine related component shortages, or they're about to launch a new controller.
I'd bet on the former since E3 just passed and that would've been the time to announce a new in-box controller.
Not sure I'd call it 'well designed' when it is as big as it is and a more powerful console is smaller. It's still the biggest & ugliest console to ever grace my TV stand.
Also, liquid metal still 'needs' to be replaced every 2-3 years. The idea that it never degrades is a common misconception.
That being said, basically no one is opening up their console to replace the heat conductor - traditional or liquid based. The avg temp...
Seems like there's no shortage in the US, I can order today and get it in 2 days from Walmart.
