You can still get it.
On PS - it's just not very user friendly/well designed - you have to reacquire it from the store, but it's $0.
On Xbox - Smart Delivery handles it and it will automatically install the next-gen updates and the DLC again.
On PC... read this article.
Well, at least they listened to their userbase. Capcom has been nailing it the last few years and have been super consumer friendly with their next-gen upgrades, so I'm sure we can forgive them for this mis-step.
FF7 on Steam Deck is pretty awesome. Now I just have to actually be able to get my hands on a SteamDeck...
Wow. So it's now a 3 part series and Pt.2 is not coming out until Winter 2023? We were all expecting this far sooner.
Glad that it finally has a date though!
ATVI under Kotick is such a mess. The sooner they are under MS the better, for the employees sake.
MS has their work cut out for them to improve the work culture at ATVI and install the culture of MS instead.
Don't most campaign co-op games handle it this way?
His reasoning somewhat makes sense, if you randomly matchmake into mission 10, and then go back and play missions 1-9 and then the game says 10 was already complete, that's kinda weird and you will miss details since the mission likely didn't make much sense when you jumped in randomly.
They could've gone for a middle ground though where if you match made into mission 10, and you have com...
I don't buy it. Why would you be entering the tool name as a skin/dlc placeholder name? That makes no sense.
And by that logic, they'd have hundreds or thousands of 'Bonobo' entries in the tool itself, so how would you even get any work done or find what you were looking for...
Also where is the quality control? Presumably one person doesn't click a button and this goes live.
How does something like this even get out the gates from such a big company... what a mess. Someones job is on the line over this one.
And if you bring up the Perforce history on that asset, it was submitted by Todd himself :P
They'd have to give games via GWG that weren't 10 years old for there to be next-gen upgrades :P
@darkrider But it's a budget entry console - for which there is clearly a market, not everyone is an enthusiast who cares about 4k60 etc.
There are enough reviews out there that people know what they're getting, and they shouldn't be expecting XSX level quality for $200 less than an XSX.
If they don't know what they're getting and are disappointed - they have the option of returning the console.
"Series S aren’t really current gen console owners"
If it runs every current gen game - it's a current gen console. It's that simple.
Space flight is sort of important in a game about... space exploration. Plus, there are games with much smaller teams and far less budget who have managed to implement this.
The HW sales alone should mean it doesn’t need to port beg - it’s massively outperforming the XSX and PS5.
Tbh most people the day after were talking about Kojima.
That alone got more coverage than PS+ and the rest of the MS event - which is ironic given they didn’t actually announce anything about the game aside from Kojima directing it.
@Hatchet You mean the company who is still selling us the same GTA game 3 generations later agrees with Sony?
Not sure that’s a compliment to Sony.
So it'll be at least $15k when they remaster it in a year!
I never go in anywhere and 'attack'. I comment on posts as I approve them, simple as.
As for why do I care? I'm sick of being gouged on games, and especially on remasters. They're off re-releasing this full price for the third time while we still haven't gotten Factions that we were promised years ago.
And yet, that fact doesn't alter its value prop at all. A small subsection of people being willing to overpay for things is normal for all products.
No, by default, you will still get the RT version.
If you want the old version / non-RT version, you have to opt into a beta via Steam: https://store.steampowered....
