Not a bad idea... just look at how bad Steam reviews are.
Making a comment pointing out that your math is off is 'rubbing it in your face' and 'obsession'... sounds like more of a you problem than a me problem 🤷
You're entitled to your opinion. I think they are both good, but one is far superior to the other due to the day 1 content included, and the numbers simply don't work out in favor of PS+ when you throw in the lack of day 1 first party games on the service.
Heck, the fact t...
Did they say this was going to be 4k60 w/ RT? I’d kinda assumed it would be 60 w/ RT but sub 4K with upscaling techniques.
It’s good if you’re new to PS, otherwise it’s not currently worth it. Just buy the classics you’re interested in playing.
@CMA well the reality is one is better than the other, but that doesn’t mean PS+ is bad, and obviously Sony will continue to iterate on its value prop over time.
Obsessed? Bit of a stretch. This is literally the first interaction I’ve had with you about GamePass.
As for Stray, it’s one game, no others have been announced nor a plan around day 1 content and it’s a complete stretch to compare a one off $30 indie game to a FH5, Starfield or a Call of Duty lo...
Since when was basic math a fanboy thing…
120 + (n * 70) > 180.
Unless the person buys zero first party games which seems unlikely.
Plus like I said, they both have $120/yr plans. And I never said PS+ wasn’t good value - I said it’s no where close to GamePass. All things are relative.
@Venom Just off the top of my head, large games I’ve played day 1 in the last year or so included:
Forza Horizon 5
Psychonauts 2
Halo Infinite
Sniper Elite 5
MLB
Ignoring the fact that I’ve likely missed a bunch, and haven’t included any indie to AA titles - that right there is $300 of games (assuming they’re all $60 and not $70) - in a subscription which costs $120 or $180 per year.
In the next 12 we...
@Pyrofire Then offer them full time jobs. Pay them well and they likely won't care about maintaining the open-source version, meanwhile every PS5 customer gets proper PS3 back compat.
@Silly No idea what you're talking about. It's an article about an emulator, nothing more nothing less.
Fallout 76 was an online game (and their first online game too). It was plagued with online problems that Starfield won't have.
He's probably talking about base pricing / pricing if you don't pay 12 months upfront, then it ends up being $180 vs $216.
That being said, even at $120 vs $180, GP Ultimate has more value since it has MS + Zenimax (and soon Activision) titles day 1. One retail game costs more than the price difference above.
Sony need to hurry up and give us local PS3 emulation, if the o/s community can do it, so can Sony.
Heck, if they can't, just pay the RPCS3 people.
You can run this on mainstream systems and still get decent results. He is getting 242fps... that is overkill.
Each to their own. I thought it looked great and I will be there day 1.
I'm sure the game will be good and will be very well reviewed & received.
Crazy achievement. All 3 of the consoles and their manufacturers are doing well but Nintendo is absolutely killing it.
I'd never really thought about the population of Japan, that is insane when you think about it...
It'll take a while for their records to be broken, and they will likely be broken by another Nintendo console.
They need to work with Konami to get MGS4 back in. I realize that is far easier said than done...
Bonus points if they can finally give us local PS3 games instead of streamed.
Japanese gaming IS Nintendo at this point.
Huge achievement by them though, congrats!
Game looks pretty cool - it’s on GamePass too!
You mean the one about HoloLens, not Xbox… it was failed because it wasn’t gaming related.
Hopefully they sort everything out soon enough. The game is still one of the best sim/serious shooters and a worthy successor to SWAT 4.
