I think there's some confusion about this, but basically ALL games are run P2P between gamers. BUT, we still need to go through the MW2 server BETWEEN GAMES to update our stats and loadout.

BTW, does ANYONE wonder where this Joe DeLia guy was when Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released? The dialogue in UC2 is pretty much ON PAR with UC1, so something tells me this dude never played UC1.

I'd say the slower pick-up has more to do with UC2 being a more campaign-focused game than those 360 games you guys mentioned.
ODST and Gears 2 were sequels to games that had an active online audience when they launched. When people are still playing these games online, they tend to be more proactive about getting the "upgrade" when it comes out. A similar thing happens when MMORPGs (namely WoW) release expan...

Haha... dude let me try to rephrase what you said: "N4G is going nowhere". Haha... surely you meant to say "N4G isn't going anywhere", right?
Cause.. the nuance is quite different. =D
For two reasons:
1) They refuse to release the size of the surveyed panel. This is sketchy at best. I don't care if you made "thousands of calls". Just tell us how many people responded.
2) Their interpretation of even their own data is flawed. For example, read this following statement from the post:

That last 300MB is the 256-player map, FYI ("Domination" mode). It's f-in craaazy how many allies are in your vicinity in that mode.

You are right. My "complaining" was only valid until it was brought to my attention that it could be "turned off" (which I'm sure most people didn't know about until this post showed up; correct me if I'm wrong).

When you limit your analysis to how the CURRENT Wii owners consume content, then yes, HD would seem to be a waste. But I think you're making a rather big assumption by claiming that the lack of HD is not the reason why these games don't sell. I completely disagree with that, actually.
I own a Wii. But I haven't bought a game for it since.....
