actual substance of the review aside, I agree. that comment is funny. I'm gonna use it later.

What makes you guys assume that just because people criticize this game they are PS3 fanboys?

I almost bought a 2nd 360 just so that I can play this game with my GF online. Yes, I thought this was going to be the second coming of Christ, errr... I mean Diablo.

But it's not. Not even close. Diablo is a finely polished online masterpiece. On the other hand, Too Human simply isn't as great as people are trying to sell it to be.

Not all people who ...

So sad... yeah, milkage begins.. Holiday 2008.

It's even lamer that between the boardgame demo, they had to insert footage from Halo 3.

Thank you. You saved me the trouble of saying the same thing.
People don't realize how long it took the PS2 to reach its current status.

Their sales peaked during the FIFTH YEAR.

My comment was not meant to compare the PS3 price against the 360 price. Rather, what I was saying that BOTH consoles need to focus on bringing the price down, rather than adding more harddrive space to justify their respective "high" price.

Look, people who still haven't bought a PS3 or 360 are clearly not serious (console) gamers, right? They are either parents who are looking at the next X-Mas present or people who can't afford to (or simply don't want to) spend ...

That's basically what I've been saying about the 160GB PS3 as well. It appears that neither MS nor Sony have a clue as to what's keeping the rest of the world from purchasing their products; PRICEPOINT!!

Sure, "more choices" are better than no choice, but when all the choices are too expensive for the average gamer, who cares of the new $500, $600, $700 model is the "best deal evar!!11!!1!@", right?

The only people who would notice the benefi...

But isn't the 160GB coming with the Uncharted Bundle? Realistically speaking, the LBP bundle probably won't be introduced until 2009...

Why don't they just introduce a REAL pricedrop already??

Because the numbers need to be put into context.

Is #23 good? Or is it lame? The best way to figure that out would be to use a similar product in the market. Market research + Statistics 101.

All this says is that IGN and 1UP did a very poor job of explaining what was demonstrated to them behind closed doors; because everybody who reads it sees glaring signs of QTE spashed across their articles.

Yeah, yeah, it's not 100% identical to Dragon Lair and the like, but "contextually sensitive" conveys all that needs to be said about the game design.

Also, keep in mind that just because someone criticizes this game, it doesn't mean that they are 36...

You are a poor example of how to have a discussion.
All he said was that QTE games suck, which is actually true.

But your (petty) response was to paint him a 360 fanboy in order to invalidate his opinion, siting IGN's "this game looks/feels great" comment as justification for your argument.

IGN's article actually confirms that this game is indeed a heavily QTE-driven game. But IGN's focus was mainly related to the presentation and "atmosphe...

Hmm... first of all, I wasn't even criticizing the game. My comment was in response to the poster who snapped back at someone who criticized the game and ASSUMED he was a closed-minded gamer.

I was simply explaining that many people have the full right to be concerned about a heavily-QTE dependent game design; because this has been done and is NOT new. I'm sorry if my "25 years" comment came across as a sign of conceit (I need to be careful with that).

I love it when someone who understands the lore calls out nit-pickers. Kudos, Reaper.

That said, I'm still concerned about KZ2. The only thing I didn't like about the first one was the aiming. The sensitivity curve (not setting, mind you) was quite off, and it make aiming very frustrating. And since that's essentially the most important feature for an FPS, that made me put down KZ1 after only 10 minutes of playing.

I was really hoping they'd fix this, but acc...

In my 25 years of gaming, no game that relied primarily on QTE mechanics was able to offer a fun and lasting gaming experience.

So, it's not a matter of being closed-minded. It's experience that tells me that this game is headed in a questionable direction. Yes, this game is certainly "different" from the FPSs out there, and for gamers who only started playing videogames since the PS2 days, this would be a fresh change.

However, this type of gameplay ...

... sorry to be the d!ck here, but if the gameplay is so old that the current generation of gamers can't even recognize it, can you really characterize that as being "innovative"?

my answer is no.

yes, this may be experiemental for the current market, but it is NOT innovative. this kind of semi-interactive gaming hit its peak during the late 80s and earlier 90s when technology was progressing so fast and movie studios wanted a cut of the growing videog...

Replace "B/C" with the word "Wii", and that sentence will still hold true. Okay okay, that was a d!ck comment hehe (but hopefully some people got a kick out of it) And to be fair, I do use my Wii more (ten times since 2006) than I use the B/C on my PS3 (three times since 2006).

... and add Heavenly Sword to that list too.

This video looks realy cool (to me), but I have to agree... the combo system looks somewhat repetitive. At least IGN has some decent players though; I did see a lot of different moves showcased throughout these four videos.

But I'd be happy as long as this game doesn't downright suck in the end. Most Starwars games have sucked really hard except X-Wing/Tie Fighter and KotOR.

You just proved his point. LOL

I personally like Daxx' point of view better, but in reality, those people make a rather small minority in this country.

I agree with what you said except the part where you assumed "professional videogamers" would get nowhere. I know at least two professional gamers that make more than six digits a year. It all depends on the game, just like sports (basketball vs. say, street hockey).

But I agree, Guitar Hero as a game does not have long enough legs to support a massive competitive environment.
