How is it a blow?
Higher install base
Higher Sales
Not a lot of people can run this game on PC with it's high requirements so most console gamers aren't going to throw a grand into a solid GPU to avoid buying a console.
People who play games on consoles will always do that
People who plays on PC will always do that
We'll have to see when it gets closer to release. I'm buying the digital X1 version anyways so I get both copies I can play on either platform.
@Tsunade.... I don't criticize Sony for being smart and expanding their install base for certain games. Same way I didn't criticize Nintendo for doing it with Smash.
Seriously there's a massive difference between the two of us... I don't LIVE on threads to bash them. You do.
Get your act together...
@Christocolus
The way I see it... I'll be getting a QB 2/Alan Wake 2 in the next 5 years and the MS/Remedy relationship grows....
The fanboy war complains while I sit here laughing thinking the same thing anyone with brains should.
Helps guarantee sequels for me. If they had W10 up and running around SSO release we could've had a guaranteed sequel incoming soon.
@The_Infected
Dude most people can't afford to run QB on their PCs... That's why they buy consoles.
This is good for the game. Increasing it's install base and potential sales...
And as far as GoW4 going W10... UE isn't even on W10 yet and I can K&M vs Controller in Gears wouldn't make it past QA testing.
How you know you're a fanboy.
You see this as "Losing an exclusive"
While the ones with brains see this as increasing QBs install base and sales potential while still keeping it away from competitors.
So weren't you the one saying QB will be a bust? Doubt it now.
Well I can definitely run it Max at 1080p unless I need a 980ti for 1080p but I'd imagine they're recommending for 4k.
Dude... Don't expect Blade & Soul to hit console. It took forever to hit NA localization.
NCSoft isn't going to do console ports.
Mushin Tower is pretty nice to have.
Live Action trailer inc!
Not to mention some preview gameplay and impressions.
Oh my body is reggie!
There are those of us that have been waiting for a proper Fantasy Pirate game.
And I think Sea of Thieves is that!(Unless you want Dark Fantasy).
The real question now is will people who only have 1-2 or no friends to play with will have options and a good time?
That's what could make or break this experience, and I'm really hoping people don't get to miss out on the plunder.
I prefer the actual Suicide Squad trailer but this was well done.
Welcome to every SoE(Daybreak) game... people saying it had immense potential and forgetting the trend.
They've been underdelivering on games for a long time.
The issue isn't availability. It's about budget and how much MS would be charging Respawn for using their servers on the 3 separate platforms.
Cloud is a multi-billion dollar business for MS. It isn't free for everyone.
I believe the complaint is that the X1 version used Forza 5 engine while the 360 version used the Horizon engine.
Difference being in how cars handled and what. X1 version was more in line with a sim racer for car handling and Horizon was much more arcade racer.
Well if it's like Horizon 2 it means they'll use Forza 6 engine like how 2 used motorsport 5 engine.
Meaning weather plays a factor in car conditions.
But who knows they made a lot of improvements on 2 and 3 will probably be more of the same.
Besides Horizon 3 probably isn't ready to show off gameplay until E3 since it only gets 2 years of dev time.
Jon Shiring Lead Engineer at Respawn has spoken multiple times about the importance of Server Hosting/Matchmaking via Dedicated Servers.
They used the same Azure servers to run the PC/X1/360 versions of the game. And Jon Shiring has said it was a necessity.
So either A... they'll work out a deal with MS for licensing purposes to keep it simple and less of a problem for patching or B...they'll use EAs other servers.
I'm hoping A be...
Don't know how I feel about Magic being a part of Titanfall but if it's grounded it can work.
I'm a big TV junkie myself so excited if the TV series moves forward. I mean Liongate TV is the production studio but no network has been announced for the TV series so still far away from production.
Before everyone jumps on the "Defiance" doom and gloom train, Defiance was a solid television series with an amazing cast and storyline that didn't re...
Alan Wake has a very niche market given what it is, and Quantum Break has more wide appeal being more focused on action.
Also Alan Wake went up against RDR in the same month so it got totally eclipsed.
Gears 4 is easily the biggest X1 exclusive considering it's a Billion dollar franchise and it's the one game that in terms of Cross Play isn't viable at all.
K&M vs Controller in fast paced shooters never works out well. So the "Reports" of Gears having a W10 version could be true or not but doubt they get past QA with Cross Play.
