Will it be using RT? That would make sense if they're delaying it for next gen consoles.
There are some games where elements when looking briefly can appear almost photorealistic but when you actually stop and look at the details we are actually still pretty far off. That's not to say modern games don't look great, but even the best looking games with RTX enabled are still far from something like a modern Pixar film.
This seems like a mistake.
This is dumb, next gen consoles will raise minimum requirements but that always happens with new consoles.
Pretty crazy, unless there's been some sort of hidden redesign this has to be sold for a loss at this price. The original model of the One X I have is super solid and heavy and it's hard to imagine it costing less than $250 to make. I bet the X will be discontinued or substantially redesigned when the Series X launches.
Many hobbies are far worse for the environment.
Like all non-gameplay trailers released before next-gen consoles, the actual game won't look this good. Microsoft is already trying to temper people's expectations saying graphically the Xbox Series X is about 2x as powerful as the Xbox One X, which in the scheme of console generations is nothing. Unless they're going to substantially lower the rendering resolution to stretch that power increase further, I seriously doubt gameplay will look anything like this.
It also costs as much as an Xbox One S.
I don't see how that's a better deal than the $199 PS4 Slim with 3 exclusives.
again?
I disagree. I just finished chapter 3 and like the game but I've got more out of exploring other current-gen open world games like Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Breath of the Wild, etc.
Except the shooting mechanics, animations, visuals...
I've own all 3 new Tomb Raiders and I disagree.
Sony helped fund development of the game and gave Kojima a proprietary game engine to use.
it's extremely demanding on ultra settings but I'm sure ultra settings are unnecessary
It's probably like Horizon Zero Dawn, 1080p on PS4 and checkerboard 4K on Pro with basically identical quality settings. I just hope performance keeps up with Horizon which was solid on both versions. I use both models of PS4 still so I'd like it to still run well on my launch system.
Silent Hills still looked far more interesting to me than Death Stranding, and I pre-ordered Death Stranding in 2016.
Sony owns Santa Monica Studios, they don't own Kojima Productions.
Great job Sony
This shit is stupid, Microsoft clearly would prefer to outsell Playstation if they had the ability to.
