This is a dumb change but I'll live.
I don’t understand how it’s an issue either, games are clearly labeled as PS4 or PS5 game’s on the PS5.
The PS4 didn't support resuming games from rest mode at launch either but came post-launch with a firmware update.
Didn't Western Digital or someone claim they had PS5 ready SSDs available for launch?
That will only work on AMD platforms currently as Intel still does not support PCIe 4.0 so most PC gamers can't take advantage of those speeds.
Despite the power advantages of the Xbox One X over the PS4 Pro, most people in my experience weren't really all that aware of the differences (I own both and have a few games on both platforms for comparison) so here the difference will be lost on most people. The real differentiating factor I think will be Gamepass, PS5's exclusive library, controller, etc.
Of course it's not lol, they still don't control even a third of the console market.
How's this supposed to work, you use the GPU to handle compression/decompression? That'll require sending all that data through PCIe to the GPU. I question the efficacy of this on non-PCIe 4.0 platforms, it cannot possibly reach PS5 SSD performance without it, so Intel users would be SOL.
Call of Duty is stupid propaganda, they had a fictional version of the highway of death in their last game but attributed it to the Russians when in reality it is the United States that actually did that in the Gulf War. That's not to say China's stupid censorship and authoritarianism isn't a problem, it is, but Call of Duty is hardly the franchise that is able to lobby such criticisms.
I doubt anyone is actually paying $10,000 for an iPhone with Fortnite installed. People might be listing it for that but that doesn't mean much.
You shouldn't pay anything for an iPhone with Fortnite installed because
1) It'll be back up on iOS before long
2) The game will probably cease to function without app updates at some point
It's still only 1GB of additional RAM.
Still only 12GB of RAM? Come the fuck on, the 1080Ti launched more than 3 years ago with 11GB. Yeah improvements to compression make that RAM go further but it's not that expensive and people buying a new $1000+ card should get more.
6 on the Xbox would be funny as Kiryu walks around with a Sony Xperia
Yeah, I am a multi console owner that prefers playstation but has always also owned and enjoyed Xbox and what I've seen so far has been disappointing. I'll probably still get both consoles early on as I did with the PS4/One and Pro/X but I'm not sure about day 1 now.
The One X's hardware is pretty expensive to make and the new Lockhart box will make more sense to manufacture at whatever price they'll be able to charge for a One X in a Series X world.
Shame but anyone that owns an Xbox One X can probably understand why. It's an extremely high quality and complex machine that can't realistically be sold at $299 or whatever price it would need to be (all of the time, not with sales or discounts) to justify its continuation. When you combine that with the fact that both new versions of the Xbox will have perfect backwards compatibility, it's an understandable decision.
I pre-ordered the game in 2016 and thought it was mediocre on release day. One of the few full priced games this gen I didn't finish and I own every platform so I play a lot of games.
I'm sure it looks better on the PC but I found the game to be extremely tedious on the PS4.
To help deal with this I bought a 2TB usb SSD for all of my PS4 games so that the internal drive could be reserved exclusively for PS5 software.
