I bought a PS4-Pro but don't have a 4K TV yet. I did it because it was only $100 more than the base model, more games would play in 1080p, and more stable framerate. I'd be glad if they added more Pro supersampling for 1080p sets.

Nah, all cinematic comic universes are crap. Most have no story and people talking in theatric low voices the entire damn time to hide the fact there is no story or characterization. I do like how they reimagined Barret though, but I want to see some quirkiness out of him as well. I actually played through Dissidia and 012 entirely on a smartphone emulator. But, still, smartphone games usually suck. If not even for the controls, it's because they're poorly designed overall.

The graphics and art style are really good! I'll agree the facial animations are only 50% there, but everything else looks amazing. Hopefully it progresses well in the next year or so.
