Same. I'm mildly interested in Halo/Gears these days. They released so many last gen I'm tired of it, plus the new ones don't seem as good to me.

What's amazing to me most aestheticaly was the art direction they dubbed "deformed realism". It looked great back on PS1 but I wasn't expecting them to bring it back for the remake. I was expecting the sterile realism of Advent Children.
But low and behold, Nomura brought it back, and it looks amazing on PS4. I can't imagine how good it would look on...

Oh come the hell on. FFXV only didn't release on PS3 simply because the system couldn't handle it. The original trailers had rooms and extremely small rooms at that, in addition to underwhelming graphics in battle. There's no way something of even the slightest semblance of XV wouldn't have choked on PS3.

Code Vein is a good marker for the quality I want to see... SAO actually has decent battle mechanics when you go by the novels. They could do a pretty high quality game up if they wanted.

Also, waiting just means less optimization on the 7nm node. We're literally cutting it's life short. Better to get the system out there so we'll have optimized games earlier, before the next node comes out and we're outdated again.

2020 is 7nm, same as 2018-2019. We might not get 4nm until 2022 or later.
