First of all these kinds of bundles are retailer side bundles, it got NOTHING to do with with either side.(Note that this specified bundle does NOT appear on any other retailer. )
You can have PS3 + extra movie this week and HD-DVD player + extra movie next week, it got nothing to do with the 2 group, just retailers trying to ramp up sells.
PS - the real deal from the 2 disc promo groups are the 5 free disc from buying players, and both side are doing that. The ...
these ads have been there for ages, now people point them out because of the guy who get fired? What make you think companies will pull out ads they already pay for when a guy get fired and created some controversies?
just hope this engine wont be like CryEngine... which no high end PC will even willing to run 30fps at max setting.
ahhh~ run away from this faming junk.
I thought those Top Gear eps were free(or at least some of them) @@
oh well...
I don't mind general electronics from Sony, they are pretty good (not those price tag, Sony = expansive @_@) BUT i do avoid any computer hardware, add-on related things from Sony(not including PS)
Cool idea, but just not all that practical. If you say chat with a headset like LIVE, now thats a bit more reasonable... texting with remote is slow, and do it while watching a movie? no thanks. I like to keep my focus on the movie not texting.
Some other thoughts: sure educational purpose will work, but thats VERY limited. Oh and unless both side are movie collecting freak, just buy 1 copy and spend the money on food and beer.
I will not comment on the actual sell increase, BUT the article doesn't prove anything. Taking data from online shopping channel doesn't really reflect the real sells numbers correctly, considering that online shopping is a fairly specific and limited group of shoppers, and the majority of consumer electronics are still sold through retailers.
If I remember it right, a PC UI patch(along with some other stuff) is in the work. The original UI is builded a bit more towards console friendly, making it somewhat weak for the PC.
people, just leave ur 360/PS3 comments out of this please.
doesn't matter, unless you got a graphical specialized PC(those used by devs) that stupid CryEngine will still run below 25 fps at max setting, even with 8800Ultra SLI setup.
Personally I'll go for 60/80GB since those are made in Japan, just an extra layer of security I like to have =P
(+ the USB ports and HDD size too, if BC doesn't matter)
Simple, people lack intelligence.
personally, I want to see the law suit happening, and FOX better report the result as well.
Ummm... my bad =P
lets hope Holographic Disc will be mass produced and affordable... problem is, if the industry decide not to invest in it, then we are stuck with BD and HD-DVDs =P
Actually, you people need to realize that because the difference in hardware, their native contrast and brightness output will be different. If you ever own both, you'll know that TV setting on either one are fairly different if you want the best out of them.
who cares... its not going to be used in movies or gaming anytime soon.
IF %100 digital distribution, VERY unlikely, because that will pretty much kill all the retailers, and i don't see the world sudden jump from a majority of cable connection all to optics.(distribution via cable connection? how long that will take...)
Really, I don't care who wins, movie format isn't something that matters that much to me.
But what? When DVD took over their competitors are VHS and V-CDs, thats a very clear cut advantage... don't make yourself look stupid.
I spot a NES on the table @@
