I don't know how it is now, but about 2 yrs ago when i cancel my old xbox live subscription was a snap, fast and clear.(then again they didn't have the call volume like they have now)
With Sony, disregarding their console/company, twice i phone their customer service and they both work out pretty well.
I'll say sometime customer service do depend on your luck a bit.(not always, theres always the odd one)
nah... consoles will last longer than people think, it's not about how "out dated" the hardware are, is about investment return. Both MS and Sony loss a good mount of money during the early years(all in the billions), and until those holes are patched(with some/large amount of added bonus), no new console will come out. MS/Sony will not make a move unless it's absolutely life or death or one side pulls an early trigger(back to investment return again)
heheh this is great, watch both side bashing each other sure is fun. you people need to get some air or actually play some games. you people need to realize that both version are done side by side, so they should look the same. For me, multi player FPS will be on PC, even though it cost more, but true FPS are on PC. mouse and keyboard will own your controllers any day.

PS3 version was push ahead of 360 because epic made it priority to customize their unreal engine 3 to PS3's hardware to solve problems with development delays (like black site, Stranglehold). Since they are selling Unreal engine as middle ware, it would make sense to optimize asap it so it doesn't look like an unfinished product when other devs want to use it for PS3 development.

Although I agree that a good number of console owners don't watch HD movies, and 5 million PS3s doesn't mean 5 million blu-ray players, BUT it means 5 million HOUSEHOLD that DON'T need blu-ray players.
Good points, but then theres the studios, where 2 exclusive and 1 neutral right now, by the time those people are looking for HD discs and find the title they want sit on the other side... I wonder what they will think.
but you also need to take in the consideration that for those people who can't afford a more expansive player, can they afford the extra cost on disc? I mean... when you at that low of budget, wouldn't DVD's pricing be more appealing via up scale rather than buying the more expansive HD discs?

360 got 1 yr worth of game library more than other consoles, this isn't surprising at all.
For a projector, lens and scaler > resolution even with a 1080p projector, if your lens and scaler isn't as good, the image wont be any better(in this case, the 1080p was an older model), projector =/= TV(LCD/Plasma). For TV, 1080p difference IS more apparent on 50"+ TVs. But most people's isn't that big, 720p will serve well enough.

People need to clean their stuff. Same go to 360 owners, as long it have a moving fan in it, clean it periodically, because it does collect dust inside. (doesn't matter if outside looks clean or not, inside can be like cotton ball)
PS - kinda glad being a PC gamer to start with, I get my habit of cleaning those electronics from it. @@
