Well if thats the case, at least they won't be surprised when they don't get an increase in hardware sales, cause no hardcore gamer is going to buy a ps3 for Move
Add an everyday 16GB usb drive and you got 20GB. This will be the first time the arcade model will actually be worth something.
The sales of this will make the current slim sales look pathetic.
Absolutley nothing. Kojima said MGS4 couldn't be done on the 360 yet MGS:R graphics surpass it and Rage and Crysis 2 surpass anything currently out and they are multiplat. In a year or two of anyone saying that they always look foolish.
It's best that PS devs just keep quiet, for their sake.
@FangBlade
You would say that since you love your PS3 to death. But tell me a game only on PS3 that is open world, runs at 60fps and looks like Rage? Cau...
I beg to differ, 3rd party devs are actually making whole games exclusively for Kinect like Ubisoft, Harmonix, Konami and those are just the ones that have been announced.
Move lacks real 3rd party dev support, all they are doing is tacking on motion tech to games already made like RE5. No one is making games exclusively for Move since they know it won't be big enough, so an investment won't be worth it.
I'd be surprised if it was exclusive since the Tales studio has money trouble
Wow, MS choose not to take a PS3 exclusive, which they were gonna get for free!?
Strange how they allowed Monster Hunter, obviously thought FFXIV wasn't worth it.
"[The PS3 version] works basically the same way, the difference is that it uses the motion controller over the joypad, whereas this game only uses gesture and speech technology to control it"
I thought the PSEye had speech recognition :S
@Hyrius
Can't be very good if devs are choosing not to use it
Looks like the PS3 fanboys are finally admitting they want some Alan Wake
It really does look MS won't be releasing a new console till 10yrs are up, since Kinect will be treated like a new console for devs. As time passes they will keep finding better ways to utilize it.
When the next gen starts and the 720 has Kinect 2 built in, all xbox games will likely get exclusive Kinect features since dev will find it so easy to implement.
Indeed there are next to no Move games which can only be used with the Move controller and nothing else. If you take out the games with tacked on Move controls there are like 2 hardcore Move games and thats it, and who would pay $130 to not use the DS3.
@mrv321
Dunno where you got $800 from. A $149 arcade plus $149 Kinect is $299. Thats not even with bundle savings, so it could be cheaper and Kinect could be less than $149 too.
Also try fitting four...
So much hate about a product people don't care about.
Im sure this story was posted back when Activision posted there quarterly results. But they obviously had no idea about the slim 360 so you can bet they will be making some MAJOR adjustments.
@MariaHelFutura
Sorry, but the pricecuts, 360S, $199 360S and Kinect will ensure that the 360 outsells the PS3 this year and by a good margin too. Unless Sony desperately cuts price again...
"I sometimes wonder why the U.S. reviewers are more negative towards turn-based battle system"
That is so true, FFXII got rated so highly for its ATB even though it had a lackluster story, yet LO (the only turnbased JRPG I can think of for this entire gen, apart from Blue Dragon) had a great story but lost points for its "dated" turn based system
Yep right after than PS2 and 360
Edit: Nope just making sure people don't mix facts with this guys opinion
@mrv321
I wouldn't call the real world small, and feel free to report will just prove that the truth is hurting you
If it too causal for you don't buy it or comment on it, simples.
Its true, if the PS3 didn't have the loyal PS2 installbase to fall back on Sony would have become Sega this generation. But now that all 3 consoles have a sizeable installbase it really doesn't matter which launches first cause there will always be a load of people waiting for their console of choice.
But considering that they will remain in 3rd this gen it would make sense for them to release the PS4 first cause if both MS AND Nintendo beat them they may have a hard ...
Well into september, apparently the slim is backordered right into august. And if MS sees a decline they can easily just release the $199 slim and have the current boost triple.
I don't get it either, when i go to the Odeon cinema I have to buy the glasses (which are reuseable) and they are only £1!!!. I don't get how different the 3DTV tech is that the glasses cost so much, do they has some mini chip in them or something?
@mrv321
Thats true, the cinema screen probably does most of the work and obviously costs a lot. With the TVs they probably split the tech more evenly between the TV and glasses
It will be interesting to see how people will react if this is true, after saying how this looks better than FFXIII graphically and the darker setting automatically makes it a better story.
But it really won't be to surprising, a more violent FF game might actually fair quite well with the 360s audience.
Kinect will do fine with MS's massive ad campaign, unlike Move, Kinect can live along side a Wii cause they are so different. I don't see any Wii owner wanting to pick up Move if they already got a Wii, especially not for $399+, MS hasn't revealed pricing but im betting the bundle will be $299 max.
