Although this is likely true, its still pretty strange that on online stores like amazon and gamestop the Slim ranks at the top while the older models are no where to be seem even whilst still being in stock. It likely only accounted for 40% in June due to the massive shortages but it will definitely be the main seller from now on, and once the $199 slim arrives that will take the lead.

Get both, since both give unique experiences. Makes sense not to include Move since it just an expensive Wii.

I don't see why anyone would think $120 won't sell to casuals, the Wii fit balance board and game is $99 and Kinect has that tech built in along with an extra controller.

Do you really think there won't be Kinect bundles on release? And do you really think that it won't come with a game even though the retail specs say it does?
SE didn't cancel the 360 version it was MS's CHOICE not to have it on the 360. SE really wanted it on the 360, so don't bother saying it wasn't possible on the 360.

Wow 360 above PS3 AND Wii, very rare indeed and only a week and a half of slim sales. Don't think the PS3 has ever topped the Wii in the US yet. Just think of the impact of the $199 Slim :S. Plus 360 contiues to outsell the PS3 WW too and is neck and neck with the Wii. The gap between the HD consoles could grow to 7-9ml by year end depending on if Kinect is a hit and MS can keep up with demand.

But seriously the chances of this happening are so small its not even worth making a story about, the 360 has a way better chance of coming first if Wii sales keep declining. Just cause the PS3 games can have good graphics doesn't mean it will be no1 in sales, all you got to do is look at the Wii for that.
Probably was't making any money. The cost to maintain it and prizes were likely a lot more than the money the ads brought in.

Sounds like its quite a shallow experience and suffers from the same problems as the Wii.

Oh god this hate will never end, why can't people just wait till its out before they judge. MS are still working on it and obviously everything will be perfect come release.
It's only being used for one mode that involves how many cars you can pass in a given time, and accelerating/braking will likely be done by the engine which is already in Forza 3 for casual players.
Kinect isn't replacing the control for the normal game.
I must say there isn't as much hype for Reach as there was for MW2.
That said MS hasn't begun advertising and Reach will still be the fastest selling game this year.

MS owns Halo so not advertising it would hurt them not Bungie, plus MS did choose to let Bungie go so I doubt they hate them for doing their own thing.
Im sorry but this is getting pathetic now, just because MS wants to expand their audience everyone attacks them. Didn't everyone complain that all of MS's games are about violence and killing now that they changed that people are still complaining. Gears/Halo/Forza/Fable are still being made so what if Kinect is only for the casuals, its not like MS is disabling the standard controller for all 360's are they.

People forget about Move cause its not a threat to Kinect or Wii. The 360 is outselling the PS3 WW now and will likely do so for the rest of the generation.
Kinect is all about expanding MS's userbase, casuals don't care for lag or accuracy or the Wii would have failed. If you think Move will sell better than Kinect or expand the PS3 userbase you are in denial. Without casual games, casuals won't pick it up, hardcore games will only make it sell to existing owners...
