I think Sony has seen the lack of interest in Move and are just cutting their losses now.
Kinect to just to big, MS didn't announce the price so people would still be talking about it after E3, no one talks about Move now. When they announce the price I bet they don't mention bundles so it leaves even more speculation, MS are the masters of hype they know how to control it, Sony don't and never will.

I doubt this is true 5yrs+ of dev time for only 200 cars with interior view is just ridiculous, even Forza 3 with took 2yrs has over 400 cars with interior views. Just seems like PD are just plain lazy.

I agree I think the main reason will be the $199 slim arcade if its exactly the same as the current slim with only a 120GB HDD as rumoured thats literally a $200+ pricecut if you consider the cost of the HDD and wifi from the old models. This along will cause a HUGE demand for the 360 since a HDD 360 will finally be at the magic $199 price point.
Throw in Kinect, Halo, Gears and massive ad campaigns and Sony won't stand a chance.
That is true, people seem to think that just because all the kinect games are casual the current hardcore lineup and game like Halo and Gears don't exist anymore making it a casual only console. MS needs these games for Kinect to succeed they got the hardcore on lockdown and now they are trying to expand to other demographics.
Will be interesting to see if this gets approved considering how much credibility vgchartz got when the PS3 slim was released.
As for the 360, being able to outsell the PS3 WW with just US sales kinda destroys the argument that US doesn't equal the world lol. The 360 obviously doesn't need to sell extremely well in the rest of the world to win WW. And with the aracade slim round the corner and WW slim releases MS will be having a massive summer when console sells are ...
Really odd how much Kinect new there is on this site especially when everyone is saying they don't care about it, its even the hottest game at 90000 degrees 3 times as much as killzone 3 in second. Thats how you can tell it will be huge if on a PS3 centric site its what everyone is talking about.
As for price $120 sounds about right since that would be about £80/£99, still MS might be going for the $99 price point to ensure absolute success.

Yep, they should just wait until next gen there's no rush now HD graphics are good enough.
In fact the only reason Sony is even trying 3D now is likely just to sell TVs nothing more, which is quite sad really because by the sounds of it it seems to ruin the gameplay.
It will be a lot harder for shovelware to made for Kinect considering every game will have to be made differently to use Kinect, so most if not all the games will be unique.
Plus MS doesn't have to worry about ports either unlike Sony, and all the good Wii games come from Nintendo mostly, so all Move will get is the third party shovelware.
To think its selling at this rate above the RRP of $299 as well, just imagine how crazy the $199 slim will sell. Plus MS will likely cut both slims to $149 and $249 for the Kinect launch.

You obviously didn't watch Sony's E3 conference and the constant mocking of Kinect especially by Kevin Butler. In fact I think Sony is the ONLY company to directly bash any competitor on motion controls.
But you can't blame them since their tech isn't getting any attention by consumers and likely never will, may as well talk about something people are interest...
Sounds like they could more easily make the 360 smoother, seems like the main problem with multiplats on the PS3 is that they can't maintain as good a framerate as the 360
Natal sounded more unique but when you think about it the name really had nothing to do with the product. At least with Kinect it makes some sense.

That was before the 360 slim and Kinect. Sony is gonna need a lot more than "hope" to beat the 360. Cause it looks like they are gonna be in a distant third when everything is over.
Sony will definitely be remaining in third this gen, no doubt.

Until and 360 with a HDD is $199 then its still not mass market yet, but the $199 slim will likely do that. Plus with Kinect MS will be able to reset the 360 price point and it will enable them to cut prices all over again creating new demand each time.
