Why is everyone whining about the price? You’ve heard of inflation before right? Ya’ll a bunch of misers.
I’m actually scared that this game will get stuck in last gen or be plagued by issues a la Cyberpunk if not next gen exclusive. The GRRM collaboration and release of Demon’s Souls remake set the bar pretty high. The open world nature of the game is going to be a huge technical obstacle for smooth gameplay and the sense of immersion, this is FROM we’re talking about. People will have time to get their PS5s and XBSs before it’s released, stop jinxing the game.
Hilarious. Co-op is the easy mode of souls games.
Please be next gen exclusive. After demons souls remake it’s going to feel dated otherwise. It’s always going to be held back and problematic in a technical sense.
@RgR I didn’t buy into any of it and I don’t even play open world games for the most part. The hype and marketing go hand in hand; it’s a chicken egg problem. Preorders are designed to entice customers into purchasing early (discounts, bonuses, early access, etc.). The marketing aims to persuade people to preorder and obviously generates hype in itself. You can’t blame the customers for preorder culture w/o blaming the industry that created and perpetuates it. Don’t hate the player hate the g...
Self-created hype? Gamers learn their lesson? Just ignore heavy marketing and pre-order bonuses I suppose. God you’re dumb
FROM is perfectly capable of developing a proper Bloodborne sequel entirely without Japan Studio though...
It’s definitely an underrepresented demographic in gaming. I think it’s bold and interesting, especially in a game like this. Curious to see how the story develops.
These game are all about replayability. NG or NG+
Ridiculous. Bluepoint only made an already great game look better on next gen hardware. Why does anyone think bluepoint should make games or that Sony should buy them? They do remakes, thats it.
@Silly gameAr it’s disagrees without counter arguments that annoy me. The hive mentality here reminds me of reddit *hurk*. Demon’s Souls was a sleeper, discredited by Sony at the time, definitely a unique example. I think a lot of studios could have done what Bluepoint did, and really don’t understand the praise. The original game is phenomenal, the remake really should be criticized in the context of what it is. It’s a good remake, but nothing more.
Seems to be an argument for Quality vs. Quantity tho.
I swear, disagrees are from people who never played the original or watched coverage of the remake's development. Just little hype beasts. Nominating the remake in most categories would be an insult to FROM, the real talent.
@NeoGamer232 You're absolutely right. While great, Demon's Souls Remake is really overhyped for what it is. The assets were handed to Bluepoint, and the PS3 game/engine was ported to PS5 serving as a skeleton for development. They basically embellished an existing AAA title for next gen hardware, and some of the artistic choices they made even disappointed fans of the original. How is that comparable with developing a new game from the ground up?
How many remakes can we handle?
Now that I think about it, the sound effects for magic were all pretty similar throughout demons souls, dark souls, and bloodborne. I dont know why bluepoint changed it. Also, the singing in the prison of Latria, the bell chime of the mindflayer, it's all different and unremarkable. I loved the sound in the original, and some of the most memorable moments for me are just gone. I would said visuals, gameplay, combat animations, qol updates are all excellent but the kind of liberties they t...
Loud and Hollywood-esque*
On the same token, I wonder if you actually played the original??? The original score had a minimalist charm, spare instrumentation and am ambient quality that added to the atmosphere of sense of isolation. Less is more sometimes. The original sound effects were quirky, now some are just unnecessarily loud. It's cool that it's doing something different and that people seem to like that, but it's just doesn't feel like something From would do IMO. I guess I just wish there we...
It's good, but very westernized. I miss the original score and sounds the most
Anyone else notice that this trailer is old and not newsworthy?
