It scored decent w/ gamepro (3.8 out of 5), and play magazine seemed to love it (9 out of 10). I dont know what build ign were playing, but they also seemed to be fine w/the controls in their preview. The jury is still out on this game, and I hate how the fanboys are ready to say it sucks after one bad review.
You can name any book/movie/album and there is bound to be at least one bad review for it. We'll see if and when a demo is release, either that or after its actually re...
Yea I'd forgotten about the twist at the end of kotor. That was a great one.
Samus being a girl at the end of metroid was a shocker for me too, it blew my 10 year old mind that it was a girl character kicking ass like that
haha yea sure, so if someone came onto a 360 thread about mass effect and said its looking retarded and last gen, I'm sure no one would think its pure fanboy flaming because its just their "opinion" right? Theres a difference between giving an opinion and flaming, and you're obviously just looking to troll.
Yea I always thought 1up was biased, but I used to give them the benefit of the doubt. But between the lair crap, their totally biased way of "subtracting" points from warhawk when not applying the same system to a similar game from ms, and the killzone 2 skepticism its pretty obvious now that they are to sony what fox news is to democrats.
Seriously, what do you care about what "turns you off about this game" you're obviously an xbox fanboy with no intentions of buying this game, and your sole purpose for posting here is flame.
Point taken, but the halo analogy doesn't really apply. Halo had a beta release that gave players a taste of the gameplay. There are also tons of vids out there that show plenty of halo 3 gameplay. Same can't be said for killzone 2. To try to "analyze" the gameplay in killzone based on that short presentation at e3 is downright idiotic.
Its very early in development, probably a late 08/early 09 release. I've only seen one movie for it and it didnt show any gameplay. You can check the movie out on gametrailers.com.
It seems kind of like a throwback 1940's detective story from rockstar. The preview clip kind of has an la confidential feel to it if you've ever seen the movie. (and if you haven't seen that movie, check it out, its awesome)
blah blah blah, just get it on pc if you don't have a 360. They come out the same day. Whats the big deal? If this were a true 360 exclusive I could maybe see this being interesting, but if you really want to play it and don't have a 360 just buy the pc version already.
Soccer games are never about the graphics, its gameplay that the players want. Thats why pes is always the number one game over the graphically superior fifa. To me soccer games are the best sport games (although the nfl is my favorite sport to watch). i'd rather play a great game of pes with a friend over madden or 2k basketball anyday. I can't wait for next gen pes, this game will be a first day buy for me for sure.
You can download all of the official kits/player names in option files and save them onto your game. Some files even have entire leagues like the mls with the official unis and names for all. They've been around for the ps2 version for every edition and will likely be there for ps3 versions also
Are you kidding? Its obviously none of my business which one you prefer but its universally known that pes has dominated fifa in the gameplay department forever. FIFA always has the better graphics, licenses, music etc., but once you get on the field its not even close, pes owns fifa year in and year out.
R.I.P. Master Chief. We barely knew ye. Wonder how he dies.
Settle down.. 1 bad review two weeks before the game was scheduled to come out isn't an "embarassment". Could we please wait until the actual game is released and more than one review comes out before we start throwing around the term embarassment?
This analog controls thing might just be wishful thinking. I don't know a damn thing about game development, but I'm guessing it would take a whole lot longer than just two weeks to map out an entirely new control scheme and integrate it into the game.
Lair has had several short delays now and for me that can only point to one thing: a lot of small bugs that the devs keep finding on their final run throughs of the game. I was really looking forward to playing lair, but betwee...
So I can create an entire stadium from scratch, but I can't put nets behind the goalposts or play the actual game at 60fps on the ps3? Nice.
The previews from this years madden have me pretty disappointed. Instead of focusing on superficial crap like the "weapons" gimmick or a create-a-stadium, they should have focused entirely on improving the gameplay like fixing the crap running game or the god awful secondary ai from '07, and put back some of the online features f...
All this ps3 on amazon stuff is pretty much moot considering that amazon is almost always sold out of the wii. If amazon regularly had the wii stocked at its regular sku of $250 it would have the number 1 spot locked down every week regardless of the ps3 price drop.
I'm a ps3 owner and more ps3's sold means a better online community, and thats great for us, but this really isn't news and posting stuff like this is pretty lame/fanboyish.
Yea, can't wait to see what they give the new metroid. My guess is a 9 at least, no matter how good or bad it really is. I like nintendo and all, but I'm getting kind of sick of the same old holy trinity of mario, zelda and metroid getting glowing reviews like they can do no wrong. Zelda has been practically the same exact game rehashed since the n64 version.
I used to love the tenchu series. The first two were awesome, and the ps2 one was solid. Then they made absolutely no progress with the series at all with tenchu z. Its still a decent game, but at its core its the same exact game we played back in 1997. The ai is still at the same braindead ps1 level it was 10 years ago and thats just unforgivable.
Seriously mart, do you post anything but flame? Its funny, you really do seem to enjoy flamewars with ps3 fanboys more than actual gaming itself.
Bottom line is they need to drop their price for this one. One of the main reasons 2k5 did so well was the deep discount it had right from the start. I knew this game would be bound to fail once it came out at a full $60. You need to give people more incentive to give the underdog franchise a shot over the madden juggernaut.
