Goldeneye was awesome, halo was good, but sorry no console game could win best fps. Half life 1 & 2 easily beats halo 1 & 2 and goldeneye. Better multiplayer, better single player, better graphics, better controls, better game. Its not even close. Half life is the best fps.

Ok on that we agree, ea is the personification of lazy design in the madden series. But the title is misleading, it makes it seem like these are bugs specific to the 2008 360 version when all versions of the game going back to last gen had the same issues.

I wouldn't really call the brett farve thing a big deal, random stuff like that happens in most games. If it occurs repeatedly though then theres a problem. Similar random stuff happens in the nba 2k series, yet no one rags on them and calls the game buggy.

lol funny observation. I really don't get the incessant god of war comparison. Its not like god of war is the only game to ever feature sword based combat vs multiple enemies. So by that standard is every fps a doom clone? Is every rpg a final fantasy clone? Is every platformer a mario clone etc..

Thats the funny part. No one knows anything about this game at all. No one knows even what basic genre it is. Yet it still gets attention because its a sony exclusive. It reminds me of when xbox fanboys suddenly got excited over katamari when it went exclusive. Fanboys are funny. They'll claim to be hyped over anything so long as its exclusive to their console.
Yep, i felt the same way about ico and shadow of the colossus. I don't think that'll happen to bioshock though since its the best looking console game i've ever seen. Eye candy generally = more sales.
20 hours for a game like this is perfect I think. Stretching it out would probably water down the plot like a lot of rpg's.

I was hugely disappointed by doom 3 too, it looked amazing graphically, but the gameplay was exactly the same as doom 1, no evolution at all. Resistance and fear both had solid ai though, so there are some steps in the right direction being made. Hopefully the next wave of fps will take it to the next level. Haze, halo3 and killzo...
Says a lot when the demo by itself is better than about 95% of the full games I've played this year.

Have you seen the specs for this game? They're really not that high. Anyone with a decent pc and vid card will be able to run it fine.
Stop acting like bioshock is crysis. The bottom line is most people who play games on their pc will be able to pick up bioshock and play the same exact game that runs on the 360 with no problems.

The movie hasn't even begun being shot yet. It'll be out in theaters in probably 2010 at best, if that. More likely 2011. Theres no way this whole blu-ray vs hd dvd crap will still be going on by the time this movie is out for home viewing, whatever the format is.
To answer you question the mgs and ff series for me have always been worth the purchase because the devs push the limits of the system graphically and always come with new, fresh game ideas. Just one example of many with mgs3 is the sniper boss battle in the jungle. There was nothing like that ever in any game i've ever played.. and i've been a gamer since nes in the late 80's.
