No not the center of the universe. Just the most successful console ever.
I could always wait for the rumored 2nd cut, but screw it. I'm picking up a 360 today, going to buy one in person though so I can check the serial number to make sure I'm getting a post July 07 "safer" model.
Damn virus, you didn't have to own the kid that much, that first pic made me crack up.
This doesn't surprise me at all. Sony's ad campaign so far is horrible. Sure for hardcore gamers who frequent sites like this we all know what the ps3 can do because we went out and read media about it ourselves on the internet and in gaming mags. Most casual gamers though are only exposed to the tv ads, which for the ps3 are nothing short of terrible.
Those weird launch ads with the all white room and the floating ps3 were some of the worst I've ever seen. They conveyed NOTHI...
Again, a very nearsighted post. Although I do agree with you about the multinational corporations and how they'll place profits over americans in a heartbeat. Those huge multinationals have no true country of origin, and so like I said in the first reply, calling big corps like microsoft or nike "american" really doesn't make any sense, because they'd abandon us in a heartbeat if it meant higher profits.
And yes I do know that there was a time when america was basica...
The ps3 is a solid console with a great future (which is why I own one) but it'll be a loooooong time (2-3 years probably) before it comes close to outselling the wii, and thats being generous.
How does anyone know anything about the color scheme of this game? All the talk about "grayzone" or whatever could be completely moot since all that was shown was ONE LEVEL of the game. For all you know there could be halo-esque bright purple and green splattered all over the other levels.
Basing an entire game off of one area makes no sense at all. Don't most games have varied environments that look different as you go from one to the other? If you were to see just ...
Funny thing how the fanboys here constnatly argue over the 360 and ps3 sales when the wii clearly owns them both in this department
Ok, I was with you right up until the xenophobic "close our borders to all outsiders and shut off all support to the outside world" crap. Get real man, America wouldn't last a month without international trade, labor and oil. Besides the fact that we're a nation of immigrants to begin with (which makes your entire "close the borders" argument a total hypocrisy), its just plain stupid to think that we could get along at the same standard of living without all the money that...
Thats the one thing I don't get about the wii. I love nintendo (grew up on the nes and snes) but why the hell are the wii sales so freaking high when there's only one good game out for it, zelda, and zelda doesn't even appeal to the casual gamers that are supposedly buying up the console like crazy.. Do people just love playing crap games just because of the motion control gimmick? I honestly don't get it.
All this ffvii stuff (the movie, the spin off games etc.) really makes me wonder why square doesn't just give us all what we want and re-make ffvii for next gen. That would be sick.
thx mate,bubbles for the help.
I feel the same way. I haven't played a single ps1 game on the ps3, and with backwards compatibility if you really wanted to play any ps1 game you could just buy it used or on ebay for dirt cheap anyway, probably around the same $5.99 they'd charge on the psn
Does it include the shivering isles expansion too?
lol maybe you should take your own advice then and stfu on the ps3 posts
But doesn't every post eventually turn into fanboy comparisons of the 360 and ps3?
if this is true, its yet another reason I'm glad I didnt' pick this game up when it first came out. Way to screw over the loyal fans who did buy it though.. having a price drop one month later. They should have just come out with the lower price from the start like they did with 2k5 if they hoped to compete with madden this gen.
lol halo isn't overhyped? I guess you haven't noticed the halo soda, halo edition 360, halo cartoon, and the countless "special editions" of the game including the one with that big shiny helmet lol. There is NO game out there aside from maybe mario that gets nearly as much hype.
30 fps on gears of war. Its a perfect example of how a game doesn't need 60fps to look amazing and run well.
I've seen a rrod console on display too at an fyi a few weeks ago, this isn't really a big deal, we already know a certain % of them are prone to fail, so why even post this as news?
