Yea I agree, bioshock is great, but gears is slightly better imo
Other than the water jumping being automatic (which sucked) how else did they dumb down sigma?
Yea the first redesign was better, but they're both better than the psn store now, which looks pretty weak right now imo.
Hopefully Home will integrate everything smoothly in a cool innovative way. I really can't wait to see how everything in home works.
MK You should definitely check out the folklore demo, its worth it just for the visuals alone. The art is very unique and its a nice little showcase for what the ps3 can do for rpg artwork down the line (if ffxiii looks that good I'll be happy)
It also has good sixaxis use too, it was appropriate and not heavy handed, and the motion controls felt like a natural part of the gameplay and not tacked on like it is in a lot of games. The combat though seems a little shallow and simp...
Yep, same here. Heavenly Sword and Drake are the only ones I'll be picking up.
Haze is a maybe, depending on whether it lives up to the hype, and ut3 is a pc tradition for me. Been playing ut on the pc since the first one, and would NEVER want to play it on a console.
Great article. I played halo 1 on pc and was pretty impressed, but never got around to playing halo 2, so now I'm all caught up plot wise and set to play the third one.
I agree totally, and yea its a pretty shallow reason not to even give the game a chance, but the dragonball style artwork just looks plain stupid to me. Especially the character models, they look absolutely retarded. The bad artwork would just be too distracting for me to enjoy the game.
Yes we all know the mls is crap. But since you said "soccer" I assumed you were american and into the us game.
Yes its easy to throw out ronaldinho and zindane because they are obviously the best, but that doesn't change the fact that beckham is one of the best as well. Is Charles Barkley any less of a superstar because he wasn't as good as Jordan, Bird or Magic? Please. Its the same way with Beckham. No one said he was the best overall, but his record speaks for its...
hahah you're showing your ignorance there mate. Beckham's corner kick set up the game winning goal in that final. Its one of the most famous goals ever and was set up by none other than the guy you said "did sh1t" that day.
Good question.. I'm kind of hoping for a sequel to ico, but given their track record for amazing creativity I think they'll probably go with a fresh start and a whole new ip.
lol anyone who calls it soccer knows jack-sh1t about football.
Beckham may be past his prime now but he's still much better than anyone else in the mls. He accomplished more in his one year at united when they won the treble than all of the accomplishments of every current us player combined. In addition to being one of the best midfielders ever, he's also one of the most recognized athletes in the world. If that doesn't make him a superstar what does?
Funniest post in a while. Bubbles for you mate.
I'll wait for a demo to see if its really as bad as the reviews say it is. But at the same time, I'm kind of sick of the excuses, first from factor 5 and now from Sony itself. Can't they just man up and admit the reviews say it stinks and then release a demo so we can all see for ourselves? Do they have to constantly question the reviewers themselves and say they aren't playing the game right? Seems pretty lame to me.
@21.4 Its true, "hardcore" gamer is a totally subjective term, and its one I don't really like to use much, but the poster I was responding to used it in a context I find pretty funny.
@21.3 Yes, like I said, there are certain parts of mario 3 that are pretty difficult. I can't speak for mario sunshine b/c I never played through the whole thing, but the other major mario games (mario world, mario64, mario 1 & 2) were very easy and catered to gamers of all skill l...
I agree that halo will be the undoubted sales winner this season, but the comment about mario being for hardcore gamers literally made me laugh out loud. Mario is about as unhardcore as you can get. Yea the final stage in mario 3 was difficult, but all the mario games have been kid friendly mass appeal casual games. Mario galaxy will do very well, and maybe even finish a close second to halo by christmas.
Yea I've just started this game, got it on day one but I've been busy w/work and its just been sitting there barely used. The visuals blow me away, especially the water effects. The graphics are even better than gears imo. I just got the telekenisis plasmid last night too and had a blast with it. Can't wait to FINALLY get a few hours free time this weekend to really dig into the game.
Not really.. I don't think they should even be getting the $100 back. I'm surprised apple gave in to all the whiners out there.
Part of being an "early adapter" and picking up tech products when they first come out is paying top dollar for them, even though the prices will go down sooner rather than later. Thats the way tech buying works, they should just have to deal with it.
Looks like lair is the phantom menace of ps3 games.. amazing trailers but a crappy product. Its a shame, it was really looking forward to it.
Would have liked to have seen more in game action shots, but this game is still at the top of my list for the next couple months.
I seriously doubt that it would be "over" if the ps3 doesn't get this. Ps2 didn't get the original and I think it somehow managed to survive.
Either way though, 360 or ps3, this is a day one purchase for me, can't wait.
