Not meant as a personal knock on you, but I freaking hate when people say ut3 looks like gears or takes anything from gears. Unreal has had that look WAY before gears was even released. Get it straight people, gears borrows from unreal, not the other way around. If you forget, just remember that Gears is played on the UNREAL engine.
Yea.. thats the first thing that came to my mind. 10,000 multiplayer kills is damn near impossible. I think I may have about 10,000 kills if you add up every single video game i've ever played since about age 12.
Whatever, the recommended specs, put out by epic/midway THEMSELVES lists the nvidia 7800 card in my earlier post as the recommended card for ut3.
On a decent pc that card will give you performance at or above the ps3 and the 360 level and you can buy it right now for $150, and it will probably be even cheaper by the time ut3 comes out. When you combine that with better modding, more maps and better control, pc is the way to go for ut3.
You don't need the best/newest vid cards to run games at the 360 level. a $150 geforce 7800gs card can run oblivion at max settings, bioshock and orange box at high settings and will proably be fine for gow and crysis too. Thats less than half the price of a 360.
Anyone else have that VOOM Hd gaming network? If not you should check it out, Cablevision offers it and once you watch it going back to g4 is impossible. Its ALL gaming 24/7 in 1080i.
Yea, its a great feature that the ps3 should pick up. Playing Bioshock + radiohead as background music was f'ing awesome. Would love to do the same with my ps3.
Yeah, thats HUGE thing that shouldn't be overlooked in future upgrades. I had no idea how convenient it was until I picked up my 360 and started using live. Being able to see what games your friends are playing seamlessly while playing a game yourself is an awesome feature. I hope that'll be added on in the 2.0 update.

The ironic part about all this is that the most "inappropriate" thing about halo that parents should be concerned about is all of the vulgar and racist language used by the high school aged kids in online play. The violence in the game is nothing compared to that.
Agreed. Being able to change the color scheme manually would be great. It's cool that it changes color and isn't just black and silver all the time but we should be able to pick and not have it happen randomly.

As for the stupid speed comment, that's how true fps are played. Millions of pc gamers have enjoyed unreal's precise physics and speed and it doesn't have to be dumbed down with autoaim and slower gameplay like most console fps games.
Have you seen the videos for it? Going off a few screenshots isn't really fair. I'd say visually its good, but not great, and a little better than halo. Halo had great outdoor envrionments, but the indoors looked like crap, especially the second chapter in the old base.

No surprise there. I hate to say it but racism/homophobia is wide spread in the gaming world. You can hardly play a game on live or psn against random opponents without hearing racial and anti gay slurs being thrown around.
I don't get that, how could you say mass effect is "WAY" more deserving than halo when you haven't even played a minute of it. And whats so new about mass effect anyway? It looks great in the previews and all but it doesn't seem to do anything that hasn't been done before by other games.
Yea if you're a sony fanboy and love mediocre ports then sure this is great news for you. Exclusives are a good thing. They're usually tailor made to fit the strengths of whatever system they're exclusive to. Just think of all the aaa games in the past. How many were exclusives and how many were multiplats. Not really interested in ratchet, although I know tons of people are. But wheres the lair demo??
