Whatever, stupid article. Its more of the same typical media practice of making something out of nothing just to have a story to print. If you like happy games there are plenty of solid options like mario galaxy, lbp, ratchet, zelda etc, to fit your needs. There are also plenty of teen/adult games with lighter themes and a sense of humor like uncharted, mgs, gta and the vast majority of console rpg games.
Funny.. they'll retail for $60 here anyway, so whats the big deal about the extra $10?
The first one was amazing. In my top 20 of all time for sure. Never owned an xbox so i never got to play the sequel. Is the sequel anywhere near as good or worth playing on my 360? Anyone know if its even backwards compatible?

Thanks for the tip, just ordered a white one. They'll probably retail for $60 over here in the spring anyway, so the extra $15 isn't a big deal to get it half a year early.

Forget puddy or joe, Warburton's best role is Brock Sampson on the venture bros. His character is the best part of the show.

Whatever. It works both ways, but you don't see men complaining about their "body images" and unrealistic depictions of men when we play games like gears or god of war with the characters that are uber macho male stereotypes and look like they're on steroids. We just play the game and enjoy it for what it is, we don't internalize everything like these complaining women do.
Halo did have some cheesy dialogue, but it had one of the best lines ever when cortana asks chief in h3 how he's planning on escaping and chief says "I thought I'd shoot my way out, you know, change it up a little bit"
True, it depends on the game. For some it fits and for others its a drawback. The original GTAIII was a great example with all the crazy, hillarious stuff going on and the protagonist just kind of shrugging it off with gestures and not saying anything. Ico was another good one. Although technically not silent, he didn't speak any english and with the art design it made the game more abstract and up to the player to interpret a lot of what was going through his head.
It does feel like it was rushed for the holidays, like its about 95% done and just needed a little more polish. Still an amazing game and one of the best rpg's I've played in the last couple years.
The best hud is no hud, like in uncharted. It makes for a better experience when theres nothing but the game environment itself on screen. killzone 2 is going that route also.
olyphant is a great actor, just check him out in the hbo series deadwood. But this was totally not his role. Jason Statham (the transporter guy) or even vin diesel would have been a better choice.
Whatever, so games can't borrow elements of others and improve on them? I just hope these guys are consistent and use this standard for everything. That would mean every 2d fighter ever is a street fighter rip off, every 2d platformer is a mario rip off, every fps is a doom rip off etc.
Good deals. I'll be getting the ds as an xmas gift for my sis, and the zelda bundle looks sweet. I've also never gotten around to buying rainbow six so if it really is for 19.99 then I'm sold.
