By far I've spent the most time with Quake 3 arena (pc version of course). Still the best pure online fps experience in my opinion.
For this gen its been a toss up between resistance, madden and gears of war.

From the demo and the reviews turok looks god awful. No wonder so many mediocre fps games get made. Even the crap ones sell well.
Good call for the top game. I've been a gamer for 18 years now. I've played just about every major game on every platform, and smb3 is still my number 1 game of all time.
Whatever, if you want to be an elitist about it and call people noobs then you should just be consistent and call anyone who uses any add on a noob. It doesn't matter if you're still using a controller or not, both this add on and the frag fx supposedly give better control and accuracy.
gameplay looks the same, which is basically good. But the graphics don't look so great though. cod4 set a new bar as far as visuals go. if new fps games don't look as good or better than cod4 then they better bring something really new to the table in terms of gameplay or they'll just seem really old and dated. and that's what this vid looked like.

Yea LO does seem like a decent game, and I honestly couldn't care less about the 4 discs. I'm holding out for ffxiii though, since I only play the aaa rpg games I figure if i'm going to invest 40-50 hours into a single game, I want it to be the absolute cream of the crop.
This game was already near the top of my must have list. The force powers for the apprentice were already amazing, Vader should have even more ramped up abilities. Awesome news.

Thats about the same length as ffx and ffxii. Sure if you did all the side quests you'd squeeze 80 hours out of ffvii, but the same could be said for the ps2 ff games too.

Yea, shame on them for trying to make money. You'd think they were a business or something.
If you don't want it, don't buy it. I was more than happy with mass effect and felt like I certainly got my money's worth. If they want to add new content and charge for it thats fine with me as long as the quality is the same level.
