So, shouldn't the media be a little more worried about tv addiction than gaming addition?
Weren't they working on this game for the 360 and the pc for more than half of the development time? It was only announced as a ps3 exclusive a couple months ago, and they were working on it well before that. So the whole "maximised ps3 potential" thing just sounds like spin to me. Its not at all like this game was built from the ground up just for the ps3 like drake or mgs4
Could the inconsistency you see be a result of seeing vids of different builds of the game? As we all know this game has been in development forever now, it might be that the vids of the newer builds just look a lot better than the older vids and they all get mixed together.
Either way though I'm hoping haze lives up to the hype. We haven't had a good exclusive ps3 fps since resistance, and that was a loooong time ago.
Unless this game is extremely good it could possibly be the nail in the coffin for this franchise. Sad to see it.
I wonder where you guys are buying your blu-ray/hd-dvds.. they're not really that expensive.
Check amazon. most new blu ray movies are within the $17-$25 range, which is just $2-$5 more than an average new dvd, if that. Why anyone would spend all that money on an hd tv and worry about a few extra dollars per blu ray disc is beyond me. And if you're that concerned about price, just get netflix, which is dirt cheap and has just about every blu ray out.
True, even if you're not a huge fps game, missing out on cod4 just as a gamer is shame. Its like the final fantasy of fps games, even those who don't usually enjoy the genre still love it.
To all the people mentioning gears, bioshock etc., I think since the list is called top 5 current must have games, all the games must be from within the last 4-5 months.
Same here, I really don't see what all the fuss is about with warhawk. Its a good game and all, but I wouldn't even put it in a top five list for ps3 games much less top 5 for all consoles.
With all the complaining you'd think that people are actually paying for psn. Let's not forget this is a completely free service.
Yes it sucks, but lets face it, home will not be released any time soon, so expecting it to randomly show up on one of these weekly updates is pretty idiotic. A demo, a few add on's and some free guitar hero songs sounds like a decent update to me.. but some people are never satisfied, even when they're not paying any money for the service.
Anyone know if they've fixed the online lag? I know they've realeased a patch that didn't really work, but they've had months now with the euro and japan versions to fix this. I'd usually buy pes on day one, but I play about 90% of my sports games online, so lag would be a dealbreaker.
I couldn't disagree more. I did like marvel vs capcom 2, but it was too over the top with special moves. I prefer games that rely on straight up skill with little to no special moves.
I pretty much lost interest after mk2. The series reached its peak with that one. The only fighting games I still really care about are soul calibur, street fighter and maybe tekken.
The 360 controller is great for fps, but the d-pad is worthless.

Uh, yea the game has replayability, but thats only in the sense that the entire second half is a modified replay of the first half. I LOVED dmc until you reach what is effectively the end of almost all original content in the game about halfway through and just replay the game using dante.
It was still a good game, and I don't regret the purchase, the first half was really that good, and yea dante's part was still pretty fun even if it was a replay with new moves. But the obsce...

Awesome show, probably the best thing on tv. But how they're going to turn it into a game is beyond me. It'll most likely suck.
The first n64 one was the best imo, but the super nintendo starfox is still a classic.
I never had any issues with the triggers.. they're not as good as the 360's triggers but the ds3 is a big improvement over the ds2.
The only real issue I have with the ps3 controler is the analog sticks. If they had a version that tightened them up for better fps control I'd definately buy that.
About half of the complaints have to do with the community and not the game itself, so the title is a little misleading. Yea sure, there are plenty of idiots on cod4, but infinity ward isn't to blame for that.
