You do know they actually brought the release date FORWARD a week, right?
Most conventional gamers are male.
Most men either like playing as men or as women of the type feminists would balk at (attractive, skimpy clothing; nice to look at).
I wish people wouldn't make such a big deal of "changing" the status quo which results from simple logical deduction.
Perhaps if the people asking put their money where their mouth is they will have their way; at the moment I just feel like they're annoying the...
I don't know of any major AC games which haven't been released on PC. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't release on PC.
So what characters are generic just because they're white and male?
I've always been a believer that personality is what makes people different but I suppose in this modern gender and skin-colour obsessed world characters are all considered the same unless their genitals and skin colour differ from game to game.
How about you wait and see the character's personality before passing judgement?
I shouldn't have to remind you tha...
She probably is attracted to other women (otherwise why kiss and not hug?), but interestingly, there are around twice as many bisexual females (roughly 2.2% of the population) as there are homosexual, so there's more chance of her being bisexual than being homosexual.
But at the end of the day, why not simply imagine her to be what you want? It's somewhat open-ended in that way.
The Facebook acquisition has worried us all, but I think we could at least give them the benefit of the doubt, and wait until they actually do that before criticising.
Quite true.
The important thing here actually is the total number of headsets sold, given that this is the figure devs are going to look at when deciding whether to create VR games.
Morpheus is no more a competitor to the Rift than Sony Move is a competitor to the Razer Hydra.
Lol I wouldn't be surprised if in the next movie they cast Channing Tatum
XD
There won't be for much longer with the world developing at the rate it is, but I'm saying that even if everyone had lightning-fast internet, many find Single-Player games to be more enjoyable than multiplayer.
You're quite ignorant.
Historically (right back to ancient times) there have been three major ways to keep entertained after work:
Games actually are able to fulfill all three of these.
Reading - Single player games
Sport - Competitive multiplayer games
Socialising - Co-op multiplayer games
Clearly there's a degree of overlap between these in some games, but the fact is that people aren't ...
Wait, Bioware releasing information which isn't related to the gender of a companion???
My mind is blown.
I don't care when it starts, as long as it swiftly progresses to events after the apocalypse at the end of ME3.
Delayed release does not always mean further polish. This could just be a sales decision given that so many awesome games are coming out in October.
I mean yes the game will be more complete (more patched for release), but then the point of a patch is to fix things. If Crusader Kings 2 was delayed until everything was fixed, it woulf have been released a year later, despite it being enjoyable at launch.
I think our definition of "justifiable delay" ...
Money laundering was something I was suspecting myself actually. Relatively new entities like Kickstarter are often under-policed, and aren't well-known by authorities, making them ripe for such schemes.
The fake letter from Putin may have been part of a plot to gain free money from backers.
Glad they put a stop to it.
You can't predict 100%, but you can predict with, say, 60% accuracy.
Still, the gaming market is quite volatile, and I expect this predicted decline is partially due to a transition in console generations hitting full-swing, where people spend cash on a new PS4 or Xbox One rather than the games to play on them.
Thus, the trend would be for sales to pick up again in the following year.
The only reason a decline in PC game sales might be predicted i...
"The XAML team is building the UI framework at the core of the 'One Microsoft' OS"
Does this not strongly imply that there's going to be a unified user interface? Same UI framework, similar UI?
So PC users are now going to be lucky enough to experience the same UI as a mobile phone. Great.
How stupid can they be? The UI for a 22 inch screen used with mouse and keyboard is naturally going to be very different to that used in a 5 inch screen to be used with a touchscreen.
I don't really see any benefit to this beyond seeming cool and trendy and cutting costs through combining development teams, both of which have no benefit to the consumer. PC gam...
Each to their own. Still, I find it hard to believe that people don't find playing one sex at least 0.000000001 points better than the other, where for most people the prevailing choice is a character of their own gender.
That's not to say that the gender of the PC would stop most people buying a game (certainly not myself), but it would impact a purchasing decision, especially where two options are otherwise neck and neck.
Black Flag was pretty good.
I actually agree with this article. I'm playing Liberation HD now, and it's so incredibly boring; far too similar to AC3.
Unity might change things a fair amount, but Rogue just looks dull.
Why not take us to Ancient Athens? The Roman Empire? Alexander the Great could even be a significant Templar/Assassin. East Asia of course is a natural choice, be it Sengoku Japan, Han Dynasty or Warring States China. Medieval India was also quite impressive.
