" This piece of technology is what really drives up the price of the Wii U system. On top of the features already listed the GamePad also has a camera for video chatting, Bluetooth, near field communication, and the ability to be used as a remote control for the television. Think of it as buying a portable HD LCD television."

LMAO! A portable HD LCD television? That bulky tablet with a small sized screen that has a resolution a lot lower than the PSVita even, that a...

Slowny just releases everything in Beta and leaves it there while its starving.

Its sad really, happens to:

- Browser
- Home
- Move

And probably some more stuff I forget about now. I bet when MS bring their browser to the 360 at least instantly it'll work. Even though I don't care for a browser on any console, I have a netbook or tablet to use besides the normal computers.

Sony should just focus on so...

Uh, they already made one in the '90s its called the Apple Pippin. Only 10k or so were sold.

Then again this was before Steve Jobs influence in the company turned everything around, so maybe by that vision...

Adults buy a PSVita.

Kids buy a 3DS with Nintendogs and Pokemon.

I own a PSVita too, but lets be fair. Just a few games are really platform defining exclusives.

Games like Gravity Rush, Escaple Plan. There aren't a lot of those. Rest is some semi ports 'but it has its own story' from the big brother PS3 to PSVita.

PSVita needs more exclusive platform defining content, fast. Sales are bad. Lower sales means less 3rd party support. With a 2 mln installed base, no 3rd party will pay up for a massive triple A g...

Sales say the price should drop, simple as that. You can think of so many reasons why it shouldn't but seeing the 3DS, its direct competitor, outselling the PSVita by a factor 3 world wide isn't good.

The 3rd party developers won't jump on the PSVita wagon as long as the installed base isn't interesting enough to sell major games to.

And a total of 1.8 mln possible buyers isn't interesting for big AAA IP's. Those need to sell a couple ...

So WiiU goes the same route as the Wii I guess...

Good 1st party games but same old same old Mario&Zelda. 3rd party doesn't care a lot. Certainly with a low installed base compared to combined 130 Mln PS360's out there. It'll just get 3rd party ports.

If you want to play online through 3G, tether it from your phone or MiFi modem. Vista connects through WiFi then and you can play online. Fixed!

I even play online on XBL and PSN with 360/PS3 on trips when I take one of them with me over 3G/MiFi, lag free and no connection problems

3G on Vista is for messaging, trophy checking only, no online gaming

Now this would make me buy PS+ again, had it 15 months but it became lack lustre over time. This would be bomb on my PS3 and Vita

@ omarzy, you can't sell back digital PSN downloads, this won't be working for hard copies I bet

Both Hisiru and give me, you don't get the point I made.

This was about companies that push high spec hardware. Not about how many sales or games it gets or 3DS has them. Are you retarded fan boys or something?

What Sony proved once more with PSVitas hardware is that its prepared to go waaaaaaay beyond Nintendo in specs. I made this connection to the WiiU and upcoming PS4. Get it, got it? Jeebus.

Sad too saying 3DS has more games, its fre...

Goddamn, Sony needs to push that PSVita sales. It already seems like a dying console, so close after launch...

It sells less than half, almost 1/3 of the 3DS sales. Sony needs to drop the price like Nintendo did ASAP, to 189 to 199 bucks max, with a basic memcard included.

@Digital Analog

Dealing with the heat is why cores are cut down in nanometers, using less power.

We've seen the chips in current gen PS3/360 shrink from like 90nm to half its size. Next gen chips of 25nm's or less are expected.

Same way that the PSVita uses certain low power quad core CPU. The smartphones have driven the CPU and GPU market to low power consumption, low heat producing production in a way that wouldn't have happene...

Lol uh...

The WiiU is about on par with the 360 and PS3 in terms of power.

Why would Sony make a PS4 thats about the same power as current gen?

You make no sense Moncole. Nintendo just took older hardware to pay less, nothing cutting edge. They made the WiiU about similair to the 360 architecture for easy porting.

Sony, as a hardware company, will always focus for cutting edge hardware. Like they also beat Nintendo in the han...

Instead of 16 numbers, you'll only need 15 now!

So... This is the same game as on Wii pretty much, same with New Super Mario Bros U. It could be the Wii game disc put in a WiiU...

Sad. And how is this trying to drag in the hardcore gamer again Nintendo? Selling more of that Wiish!t hardware I guess.

@ PopRocks

Nintendoland is a joke too.

Lol. The stylus eh?

So how are you gonna do some intensive gaming moments where you hold that massive bulky WiiU tablet, using the traditional gaming controls aka buttons, triggers and sticks and then suddenly switch to picking up and holding a stylus at the same time???

Its so much more logical to play the traditional buttons, sticks and then quickly move over with fingers on the screen instead of picking up a stylus mid game...

Uh, its NOT a non issue. Every touch device these days has multitouch. Smartphones, tablets, PSVita (even front AND rear multitouch).

This oversized, massive bulky tablet WiiU controller is just a blown up DS bascially.

People saying: 'why does it need multitouch controls', uh... The other devices have proven that with multitouch there are more possibilities, its easier to control, you can do things like zoom with two fingers (you gonna tap a special ...

Eh... You do know that the 360 upscales native 720p to 1080p too, right?

Second: the quality of upscaling depends on the hardware. As we haven't seen a WiiU doing some upscaling yet, it might as well be that the 360's ANA hardware upscaling chip outperforms the WiiU.

Have you looked at the comparison shots from Batman on PS3 and Wii? The PS3 version looks better... Where is that insane power you claim the WiiU has? 5 x as powerful as 360 or PS3? Lulz ...

If it were technically very demanding games, with insane graphics and crazy physics, lets say a game like Uncharted, The Last of US or Ubisofts new Watch Dogs, I'd say yes if it got 60fps but reso has to be 720p agreed.

If its a New Super Mario, that looks about like the same game on Wii, or a Pikmin thats a tad sharper... No. That should have been 1080p AND 60fps.

Certainly for a console thats released in 2012. This just confirms that WiiU isn't real...
