PSVita is just about now getting a sales boost by the PS+ PSVita instant game collection.
I see PS3 users that are PS+ subscriber too jumping in at this very moment, as they see the free content for PSVita on their subscription without any extra costs for PS+. If they don't buy a PSVita they feel they're missing out on the content.
Even though the price still has to drop below 200, to get closer to the 3DS pricelevel and Sony needs to get Monster Hunt...

3DS is your choice if you just want to play 1st party decades old rehashed IP's. If you want adult games and more new surprising IP's then PSVita is the way to go.

The one thing PSVita now needs is unit sales. To get it up from 3 to 4 mln sold to about 8 to 10 mln sold. Then it has its critical mass of units for 3rd party developers to make games for it and less risk of selling too few copies of their game.

Eh I WOULD expect Wii games to stream its video to the tablet controller too.
As Nintendo put out a selling point of being able to have others use the TV while one is playing the WiiU, continuing to see the game on the tablet controller.
Most Wii games use normal buttons for playing the game, so I don't see why the games couldn't be played with the WiiU tablet buttons and having the screen on the controller used.

USA just got more of them at the same time up front, where EU will get them soon too. When you look at PS+ for PS3 this also happens. USA had Ratchet All 4 One for months, EU just got it. EU had RE5 Gold first, USA got it a month later.
I think Wipeout 2048 will be there for PS+ EU for PSVita in December even

YLOD was just as bad, it just happened lateron. RROD often occurred after months, YLOD mostly after 1 to 2 years.
Besides that, MS gave you 3 years of full warranty. Thus, if it broke, it was replaced. Sony let you pay over 150 bucks/Euro to get it repaired after its warranty period.
