I sooooooo wanted a white PSVita, I was even prepared to wait for it.
But then again, I wanted a white PS3 too, not imported without warranty from Japan, but just to buy one in Europe.
Announced @ E3 2005 in 3 colors, black white and silver and I waited till the end of 2008 still no white PS3 for Europe. So I bought the black one. It looks ugly between my white Wii, white 360, white PSP fat and white PSP slim, but I acknowledged Sony is Slowny.
Opinion? More like a very wild guessing.
An estimated guess would be:
The PS2 sold like over what 140 or 150 mln. up to date? And it released in 2000/2001. Thats more than a decade ago.
The PSP1 sold, what, 70 to 80 mln. over lifetime. That is, in about 7 years since it launched. And the sales came when it was at the 170 bucks pricelevel.

System is good. Launch was well done. Weekly downloads on PSN though Sony failed a bit. I expected some new stuff in decent proportions at least every week after launch to give those launch buyers a bit more special treatment for their support.
But the PSVita itself rocks. Although the screens brightness could have been a tad more for when the sun is out. I remember how it was with my PSP Fat and Slim, the slim had such a bigger boost in brightness. Probably history will rep...

Apple and its I devices don't have 8GB or larger games to download.
All that crap touch entertainment hardly gets over a few hundreds of MB's. So digitalonly is doable even on a crap internet connection.
8GB and up games not so much.

Wii games, emulate them on your PC in Dolphin. Even getting a better resolution than the fail 480p the Wii does. Besides some Mario and Zelda, my Wii is catching dust, and the Wiimote is shit, a gimmick way to sell some new console.

PSVita needs more platform defining own games other than what's on PS3. It needs the Loco Roco's, the Patapons, I still am flabbergasted why they didn't have those in the launch line up, especially for Japan that have no interest in Uncharted...

The drives up to 640/750GB are like 9mm thick, the 1TB are something like 12mm thick/high.
