Well what does one expect. Normal controllers cost 50 bucks or something. This has a screen, that has to be able to give good graphics when playing a game with the TV off, its pretty big and bulky so more use of materials than other controllers, it has touch, the gyro and other meters...

That controller won't be under 100 USD for sure. Which is insane. The system + one of those tablets will cost around 350 to 400 USD at launch, add a 2nd tablet on that price and one has t...

Heavy support with one sequel on a sportsgame and some storybook for kids?

Releasing some Sorcery game, almost the only reasonable Move title in how long, a year time?

I bought the Move, because finally there was a precise motion controller unlike the Wiimote bad tracking. Those Move gamepatches don't work, games are played better with DS3. Games made specifically for Move, better said good or great games made for it, are not there.

Ehm, because we live in a different time than 12 years ago when Gamecube released?

So because they didn't release specs back then, one shouldn't expect this more than a decade later if they claim they have the most powerful console and want to get in the hardcore gamers in?

Your comment makes no sense. We should be fine with Nintendo claiming something that might not be true?

Besides that, Gamecube was just maybe slightly more powerf...

If its oh so powerful, how come you didn't reveal those PS3 and 360 beating specs yet Nintendo?

E3 would have been the perfect place to show those high end specs, instead you chose not to give a full spec list.

I can only think about one reason. The specs aren't that great, and you're hiding them as long as possible. Because E3 was the chance to give a massive beating to PS3/360 and show the hardcore gamers they should get a WiiU.

...

They said there would be over what, 23 game announcements too in the E3 conference and that hardcore gamers would love it.

They lied on that too. We saw 1st party recycled Wii games that hardly looked any different (New Super Mario Bros, WiiFit meh and Pikmin), it seemed if they just had put the Wii game in the WiiU and added some tablet controls.

The 3rd party games were just 360 ports of older games (certainly when the WiiU launches, Mass Effect 3 will almo...

Nonsense. Sony also made people think that over time they would go from 720p to 1080p, but it never happened.

Obviously over years the games get better in stuff like better graphics and physics, but those also give an extra hit on the hardware, which prevents it from other stuff like reaching for a higher resolution.

The Xbox 1 already had some true native 720p games, but most were in 480p. The only ones doing 720p were often those that didn't have a lot ...

Lol, they pulled a PS3 right thur!

I remember the PS3 at E3 2005 was said to have two HDMI ports with dual screen 1080p output. A year later at E3 2006 that was down to one HDMI port but most games would be 1080p @ 120fps in 3D.

Lol. WiiU will have 720p games all of them, which is this gen. Only real next gen will output all games in 1080p, which starts in 2013 with Xbox 8 and PSOrbis.

Its clear now.

Wiiboys act like they don't care if WiiU does 30fps with two of them big and bulky massive WIiU tablets slow the console down...

Because the consoles that launched in 2005/2006 aka 360/PS3 do also. They easily forget that real next gen starts in 2013 with the Xbox 8 and PSOrbis, both companies have proven that they do push hardware forward unlike Nintendo matching 2005/2006 launched consoles in 2012.

Thus, when real next gen starts and all games run @ 60f...

The 360 at the end of 2005 was cutting edge hardware and the console launched at 400 bucks. Sony couldn't keep their costs under control mainly by adding the rather expensive BluRay player and the newly developped Cell and launched at 600. The GPU of the 360 is said to be more powerful than the PS3's, so also on that part MS succeeded to get something pretty good when launching in 2005 at a launchprice of 400.

Affordable for the mass of people is a pricelevel of aroun...

There is a good reason to believe the WiiU is about on par with current gen 360/PS3.

If the WiiU had such massive specs that would overshadow its direct competition, Nintendo had used this in their E3 press conference with raw numbers to beat the living sh!t out of that competition.

They didn't. They focussed on the new massive bulky big WiiU tabletcontroller. They also recently confirmed again that they don't care about specifications, they care abou...

Uhhh SmartGlass doesn't cost a dollar more if you already own a 360 and a tablet/smartphone.

Where WiiU will cost you somewhere around 350 to 400 USD and just have one dedicated WiiU controller. BTW that controller is looking massive, very big during the conference of Nintendo at E3. I wouldn't like to hold a controller that big constantly, I'd prefer to hold the 360 controller (or take a look at the WiiU pro controller even, almost a direct rip from the 360 contr...

Well lets be fair.... If Nintendo had just the far to big and massive tablet controller as an accessoire for the Wii it would almost have the same outcome.

In the Nintendo conference I saw New Super Mario Bros U, which looked identical to the Wii version, more WiiFit stuff that looked exactly the same as on the Wii, Pikmin that didnt' look that much different...

And the 3rd party stuff was, as is expected with no big install base of users like the PS360 h...

I played the Dust 514 beta, but its pretty underwhelming. Laggy and low quality graphics. They got a lot of work to do, if they don't want this to end like Zippers MAG, where they focussed on the massive number of online players but forgot to make it look next gen.

I hope that Dust 514 isn't just focussing on the online world where its set in and forget about everything that a current gen game needs...

Lulz, Americans stole the term football for their game of EGGBALL.

Kinda funny. They think USA = the world, thus they say that the real football is called soccer.

They should call that game of eggball soccer (pronounce: sucker).
There is only one football, and that ball is round, and the game started in UK.

Onto the game of football on PSVita, its visible that because of the lower than expected sales numbers companies won't relea...

Damn, some are even bigger turds than I thought.

@ Ron

I own a 360, PS3, Wii, PSP and PSVita... So good that if you don't have a 360 and don't comment on it, I talk about what I own and play.

If you don't know yet what one owns or plays, don't have an opinion about them.

Its crap. Resistance/Playstation fanboys will keep saying its good though.

Even a livestream on PSVita, wow, Sony does a good job this year.

Besides the show even all day coverage, interesting. But why did they name the videoapp for PSVita 'Nico Nico'??

9's?

I only see a couple in the 8 section and two of them are Playstation minded reviewers.

Averaged on a 6 on Metacritic. This review of 10/10 is crap. Real good games should get 20/10 if this game would be 10/10

Lol, shall I believe this review or some trusted reviewers like:

Edge: 4/10
IGN: 5.5/10
Gamesradar: 4/10

Uhhmmmmm.... So hard.

No dude, just no.

Edge, Gamesradar both a 4/10. IGN 5.5/10.

Edge is the most respected gamemag in the world. Gamesradar and IGN some of the most well know biggest gamesites.

Average rating on Metacritic now 5.9/10.

Its mediocre at best, and bad when you take off Resistance fanboy goggles. The 8 ratings on Metacritic are from Playstation bounded sites/mags like OPM and Playstation Lifestyle. Go figure.
