One small difference: the other features of the PSVita are all high end. So that back touch might be gimmick too, but the CPU and GPU are for a handheld really high end. It has two analogue sticks that real gaming needs. It has multitouch on front as well as the back (not one touch weak stylus input), it has OLED visuals etc etc etc

THe 3DS doesn't have this. Compared to the PSVita its average hardware, basically it has only the 3D factor to wow no...

gimmicks: truths.

Wii sold on Wiimote and Wiifit, not by a large library of great games (outside the same old 1st party IPs Mario, Zelda etc)

DS sold on a weak one touch screen

3DS sells on weak semi 3D that most devs even stopped using.

WiiU sells on a weak one touch controller, while all smartphones, tablets, psvita has multitouch

gimmicks sell Nintendo systems, sad but true.

3DS is 150 to 170, cheapest thus sold. Plus Nintendogs, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Mario. Kids want it. Simple as that.

PSVita 250 bucks, that's why.

Mostly the games are made on PC then.

There are ports that had the 360 as lead developing platform and they look bad on PC. That trend has turned a bit again and most devs focus at PC first and then port it to the consoles.

But no. Ports in general don't get better. A high end PC rig is a whole different story also then some console that will be on par with 360/PS3. It doesn't have the extensive horse power that a high end PC has ...

And you believe everyones marketing talk instantly?

Many of those have interest in putting some backup for Nintendo as they have to sell their old engines that run on 360/PS3 to the Wii to sell it once more to 3rd party developers. Like Epic with their Unreal Engine, or Crytek with theirs.

I've heard many devs say a lot about consoles in the past, or games that would get out, also the ports from 360 to PS3. Telling it would be on par or even better, to fi...

Its logical thinking.

Nintendo uses proven technology like the 360's CPU a bit upgraded and a bit of extra ram. Why?

Because the WiiU can't be a lot more than 250 to 300 bucks. If it would have state of the art new chips, it would rise to 400 to 600 bucks like the 360/PS3 were priced at launched.

Thus: we know the WiiU will use average tech. Certainly because Nintendo said before they took the Wii route, that they don't want to c...

Who cares, COD shouldn't be saved. Its a dumb milked concept thats bought by millions of sheep. Let them buy it, don't care. Its like a subscription that yearly COD update.

Still running on the COD4 engine from 2007, the casuals are used to that n00bish stuff. Let them enjoy I guess.

Maybe one day it'll die like that milked Guitar Hero.

Why is this only in Canada and in EU the screen with one pair of glasses and just one game is still like 500 Euro?

WTF Sony

I played SD Snatcher on the MSX-2, that game was damn fine. Make that game again and I forgot what dev it was, but Fray also on MSX-2, get that game back on for a new sequel too!

Vita needs those, but even more important... It needs its own exclusive platform defining games.

Like how PSP had Patapon and Loco Roco. Games made for the system alone. It made the system more special, more reasons for possible customers to buy it.

At this moment, only Escape Plan does this well. Little Deviants is not that good. Unit 13 is good but its a game that is like many other games.

This is what Sony needs to do, sure the quantity of...

Lol, started gaming this gen? False, thats maybe you though. I've been around since the first consoles. Heck I even own the watch&play first handheld games of Nintendo. Life Boat, Popeye, Donkey Kong you name them. This gen I own 360, PS3, Wii, PSVita.

Proven quality games RELEASED for the system we're talking about. READ DUDE READ. The WiiUrine ain't released, nor its games. Not claiming anything about Nin's 1st party games released in the past, as they a...

@ Shok

Eh no not reaching too hard. With the Wii, Epic and Crytek had no reason to do a lot of effort. They didn't have to sell their main engine once more and cash in on it.

With WiiUrine, that'll run like a 360, their engines are easily ported, they can cash in massively if 3rd party start using that old engine once more. They want to earn monies, they don't care if they need to blabla positive a bit for another Nintendo console.

In other words, to play emulators for old consoles and games that aren't sold for those systems in shops anymore.

There are no hacks, neither illegal exploits as it all runs within the PSP emulator on PSVita.

You should read more without shouting kid. No way to pirate any current PSVita, or even PSP game, can't be done through the exploit, just the homebrew.

For example, it runs a NES emulator better than PSSuite does. You should edu...

Devs that all want to sell their games... Its called marketing. They need to resell their engines to get used for games on the WiiUrine. Epic sells its Unreal 3 engine once more, Crytek sells their engine too. This doesn't mean a lot.

I've seen devs saying that the PS3 port would look on par or even better than the 360 version. And every time was a disappointment again.

If it has 1GB of ram, nice, some room to play with. But the WiiUrine will probably...

Outsells every year, yet still 3 mln. behind in sales at this moment. That is, world wide, not only USA.

So yes... Seeing PS2 was the untouched nr.1 last gen, being in 3rd place still in total console sales, that is bad.

Don't forget that MS in the spot to dictate the price. Production costs of a 360 are way less than a PS3. MS has more bandwith to change its pricing than Sony has. Certainly seen Sony's overal losses and having to juggle on two market...

Where two dogs are (well maybe in the future) fighting for one bone...

Imagine if Apple would walk away buying OnLive, integrating it in the AppleTV for the big blockbuster games together with the more casual/cheaper games to DL through their appstore and play the AppleTV games with the iPad as a remote.

They'd sort of have an instant alternative to WiiU. Only thing missing physical buttons. Maybe release some sort of controller for AppleTV.

Lemme guess. CaptainN.... CaptainNintendo eh? What could we else expect than a fanboys defense to the extreme?

What do you expect of companies that want to sell games, they won't say the WiiUrine controller is sh!t...

And all your quotes still don't change the fact that THE WIIURINE CONTROLLER IS ONE TOUCH, NOT MULTITOUCH

Thus: a very limited input device. Period.

I may freaking hope the WiiUrine games will be on par ...
