I find it funny that people complain about Titanfalls and MS deal, but what about Sony and Deep Down with Capcom?

That said, I can't wait to play Titanfalls on Xbox One with cloud services. It's going to be f'n amazing!

You can still enjoy it on PC if you absolutely despise MS or the Xbox One.

It's silly when MS does it, but awesome when Sony does it, right?

The power of the cloud is preventing you from lagging out while playing online. No amount of teraflops going to help with the lack of servers.

@sci0n:

It can as nvidia has shown cloud rendering:

Increasing AI and physics is done in Titanfalls already. Driveatar in Forza 5 also showcases AI improvement in the cloud that isn...

There was, but it was flying under the radar.

Kinect Sports reportedly sold over 8 million copies. The last figure known for Dance Central was hovering around 3-4 million for the first two games I believe.

That is more than some hardcore games do.

@arkard:

the heart rate monitor doesn't need to be accurate as long as it is proportional i.e. that it measures relative amounts.

@shaun mcwayne:

I had a blast playing Kinect Sports and Dance Central. I hope we get more games like that as well.

Boxing games like Punch Out would be awesome.

I also like the idea of Xbox Fitness and Skyping with a friend.

@n4rc:

Exactly, as long as I have games to play, I frankly don't care if they are exclusive or not.

If there are enough games to keep me busy, I'm happy especially if I get to enjoy those games and have killer features with snap mode!

Xbox On!
Xbox Play Titanfalls
Xbox Snap Skype!

and I'm set!

@1nsomniac:

"Bullshit! it's your job to make your employees enjoy working there."

That is the ideal situation, but is far from reality. Remember, I said front line workers.

This isn't MS or Google where you can afford to serve your employees massages or hire in best chefs to create free food for all.

MY MAIN JOB IS TO MAKE THE BUSINESS WORK and one way of doing that is to retain employees by making it an enj...

It is amazing that these companies keep their employees passionate and motivated. As a business owner, it is extremely hard, especially with front line workers.

They just want to stand their, kill time and collect their paycheck.

Wish every employee had to be a business owner at one time first, before becoming an employee!

I bet you that the vast majority cannot tell the difference between 900p and 1080p on a 50" TV.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to either!

That is assuming that diminishing returns isn't a factor. I think we are kind of hitting that point, where graphics no longer improve fast enough that it matters.

Just look at next generation graphics, it isn't that much different than current gen. Sure it is visible, but it hardly feels like a major change.

sh!t, that's f'in awesome. I can do that while Skyping too!

Art is more important than specs has been proven and said time and time again.

Resolution once you hit a point really gives you diminishing returns. Art though really determines the feel, look and experience of the game a lot!

Smart AI would be awesome in games that don't have many online gamers. For instance, I would love to play more Gears of War: Judgment online, but the community is dead.

Playing against bot is so mind numbingly boring, so smart AI is one area I hope cloud will bring forward.

I'm going Xbox One for the multiplayer that has dedicated servers. I don't have a massive gaming rig, nor do I plan to have one so will settle with light gaming on my Surface Pro. My desktop can run Starcraft 2 and that is the only PC game I really care about, other than maybe C&C and some of the other Blizzard IPs.

I might upgrade to a Surface Pro 3 next year though.

Only if you are MS!

If you are Sony, then everything is God's gift to man!

"Being more concerned about getting your game out before the competition than giving your paying customers a quality product is a disgusting practice."

Not getting the game in your customer hands means reduced funding next year. It is a pretty disgusting practice, but a necessary one I'm sure.

Both financials and game quality is somewhat interlinked.

Xbox One Day One here too!

Cannot wait for one of next years biggest game. March 11, 2014 is going to be huge!

Apart from the extremely misleading title, what the engineers say is that they worked it so that does not happen often and in only extreme cases.

However, it is not a guarantee it won't happen, but it is likely very rare. Just like how you are playing an online game today, and if you don't update you get booted out of the game.

That said, I believe this has more to do with the servers rather than the console.

The easy fix to that is t...

I actually think this article is a good thing. Diversity is good, and the topic should be highlighted.

The only gripes are practically the entire article could have said the same about Xbox One and the article is poorly written with a hype tone that is unnecessary.

In short, this type of relevant content is better than 90% of the amateur blogs fueling the console war.

obviously no service is 100%, but combined it should be roughly 99.99% uptime.

Also, the instance being up or down is also highly dependent on your own software and configuration.

Point being any service goes down, including Rackspace, Amazon Web Services and so on. However, billions of dollars are trusted on Azure. It is run by businesses with mission critical applications.

If Azure can run mission critical applications, then there is no is...
