I don't get it, why does it have to be Rare that makes KI?
The vast majority of the old Rare that worked on KI is no longer there. To me, allowing Double Helix to work on it is the right choice, because the game looks great!
Double Helix still gets help from Rare, so it isn't entirely hands free either. Important thing is the game is good, and all early reports are it is awesome!
They should choose the developer that is the right fit ...

Put yourself in MS shoes, if somebody else stole your costly research to enrich themselves, it would be natural you demand a share of that. If you don't like it, you can fight in court.
Fact of the matter is, MS is one of the oldest OS developing country out there, so it is natural that a something new like Android would infringe massively on MS research and development.
Actually, it is about entertainment. Most peoples entertainment in the living room consist of watching TV, listening to music and to some games.
That is exactly what MS provided and more so than any other competitor!

Sony's problem extend far beyond their gaming division. I would unlock their stock a long time ago, and hopefully you acquired them when they were at their bottom.

I think Forza 5 and Titanfalls are two great example of the cloud already in it's early stages. Side benefits are dedicated servers in CoD: Ghost on Xbox One, unlike the competition that essentially is P2P with a proxy server in between.
Lag kills any online experience really really fast!

Why would anyone want Xbox division split out is beyond me.
If it wasn't for MS and it's push, you would have a $800 PS4 right now with almost no network connectivity and PS Home version 2!

To some extent, but the Xbox division has been profiting massively in recent years. The problem is more that Xbox One is so reliant on the massive research and staff in all areas to be developed.
A separate entity would not be able to create what Kinect One is as the technology spans gazillion fields. Only a large company like MS with their research and muscle can pull it off, so I hope whoever they find as the new CEO doesn't spin it off.

My point was that if you read AND comprehend, then it is clear that the reason why Turn 10 can hit 1080p at 60fps is because the developer spends little time on the cloud due to all the inbuilt software infrastructure, so they can focus on optimizing Forza 5.

Took MS 200 tries to determine and prove the original controller was perfect.

Capcom isn't exactly first party or known to be second party.
