MS already announced they will have extra consoles for walk-ins. Allocation for pre-orders are conservative to ensure everyone that orders gets the console.

Well, both Sony and MS is selling everything they can ship.
If demand outstrips supply, it is hard to talk about real demand. I think we have to wait until next year when supply exceeds demand.
Until then, it is just whatever each console manufacturer can ship and has nothing to do with actual demand relative to each other.
That said, what happened to 4 to 1 pre-order ratio in favor of PS4?

Remote play is a nice feature for those that own a PS Vita, but I having to purchase an expensive PS Vita for this makes no sense, when I can get a 32" TV for less!

Streaming games requires an excellent internet connection, so it is limited to local play. If you are local, why not just play on the console itself.
This is more a gimmick, than actual useable feature in my opinion.
Now, the Wii U has a second screen experience which is interesting more like SmartGlass.
I think MS offering has the highest average rating among recent console launches.

Basically it means you can have 32 people listen in on a conversation among 8 people at any point in time. That is excessive already.

It really shows your ignorance. Not all voice recognition is equal, the same way Optical Character Recognition software is not the same. It's like saying, what games is not possible on PS3 that is possible on PS4 at launch!

There are people like me who is exceedingly excited about the Kinect One voice commands among other things.
i can understand livestreaming by a professional gamer, but random joe, who cares?
i would much rather have edited clips of memorable moments personally.

Combine VR with Kinect One and you likely won't even need a contrller!
The numbers are already creeping up.
1% failure out of the box is pretty darn high out of the box. That is 1 out of a hundred consoles has problem when you open the box. DoA!
That number is only going to increase as time goes by.
It is most convenient for smaller stuff, instead of navigating the entire list.
Example is, you are watching a movie and want to pause it or want to call someone via Skype.
Navigating around deep menus are often times better to just use the remote or controller.
Use the combination, not Kinect One as a replacement.
