I wanted MS to keep the power for Kinect so as not to reduce Kinect potential.
Why bother with an 8% bump in graphics when it is barely noticeabel. Won't make the games better, and won't change my experience much, if at all.

Power supply isn't part of the architecture.
Sony cloud yielded P2P with proxy server on their flagship game for PS4 i.e. KillZone i.e. no real dedicated servers.
PSN+ has great value, but it ain't in the cloud!

Sony has a massive production going on right now that they have to keep until next year and demand has droopped off, because it is after launch and holiday hype.

I am surprised how resilient the sale of 3DS has been to the onslaught of tablets and smartphones.
Just see how PS Vita has taken a beating, a massive beating!
Nintendo somehow miraculously turned around the 3DS, so who knows, maybe they will turn around the Wii U. They have done it before, so I have belief they will.
Since I don't own a Wii U, I cannot judge for myself their issues, but they need to seriously invest into cloud, and more ...
I am getting the digital version so a lot of people aren't counted in the pre-order list.
That said, there is no doubt this will be the most played online game of any current generation console. Plenty of people to play with, and all on dedicated servers hosted by Azure cloud.

I think this is a positive thing for Nintendo. Remember how Microsoft upped the game, and forced Sony's hand to improve their relationship with 3rd party?

I was a bit suprised, but I thought the number of regions was closer, not 4 times as many regions for Sony than MS, so it makes sense Sony had a higher order. I didn't do the research.

I don't think too many people would pay for Playstation Now when they discover heavy compression artifacts and laggy controlls on top of slowing down the internet for the rest of the family.
Reality is that, streaming on a local network and on the internet is immensely different. At home a ping time is around 3 ms, on the internet a super fast one is at 30ms. It is not uncommon to have 100-150ms. A frame at 30fps is 133ms in comparison.

I love Gears of Wars! That was my most played game last generation on consoles. This means there will be another Gears for Xbox One.
