Actually the Zune was considered a great a product, it just didn't have the branding of Apple.
I didn't say the Vita is bad, merely that PS Vita didn't define the handheld space, nor is it synonymous with PS Vita/Sony.
If anything, it is Nintendo that has that distinction.
Yeah I don't know either, but I would pay for Xbox Fitness.
Doesn't matter which one has devs, because that is a matter of opinion, but I play more Gears, CoD and Blizzard games than anything.
Halo is good too, and so is Uncharted.
Yeah, and that is a good thing. More projects early in a console life cycle is much needed!
I guess MS has a crapload of projects going on. Lots of jobs pointing to different projects in the works!
Good for Sony, but claiming the PS Vita is to portable handheld like the iPod is to portable music isn't humble, and it is outright BS!
http://n4g.com/news/1433877...
Vita compared to iPod? Ridiculous!
It is the Nintendo portables that are the iPod of gaming, both in sales, brand recognition and quality of content.
The Playstation portables are more like the Zune of portable music!
who approves cr@p like this?
Actually I hope more developers take this path!
Why include a tacked on single player or multiplayer?
Put more effort into where it matters!
Sick of tacked on and meaningless game mode just so you can check it off on a list.
@pumble:
Oh, the irony!
Turns out the liar was MCV, because nobody bases "best selling" on revenue. What kind of weird metric is that!?
It is and always has been "unit" sales!
It's like I would claim Xbox One sold better than PS4, but base it on revenue. That is stupid!
That made me completely distrust MCV! If it is based on an odd metric, they should say it!
@eon:
What about computations that aren't frame sensitive?
Titanfalls uses the cloud for both AI and physics calculations. Forza 5 provided AI that mimics other players and not a pre-baked simpleminded AI that is typical in games.
or how about calculations that require massive real time data that isn't on obtainable on disc?
That is just a small example of what the cloud can do, with gazillion more processing power th...
With three bubbles you can still churn out half assed comments and still get agrees.
It is a great old idea, but the problem with execution is cost and technology!
When you are paying, and then you get that laggy experience, it ain't going to be positive buzz....
Two kilers:
a) price
b) technology! Most people's internet speed isn't stable or up to snuff.
Why not just keep the older console, and buy the games used or whatever. Superior experience, and not having to be tied to the cloud. I...
Activision is laughing all the way to the bank as they already got the money from your copy of CoD you didn't play!
That said, no reason to hate on Activision.
@Hayabusa:
Because that is "extra profit". That said, some devs do struggle to make ends meet, and the re-playability of games is somewhat of a unique problem to media.
How many times do you re-read a book, listen to music or watch a movie?
@septic:
Why bother?
If you notice, the only one complaining or questioning this, suggesting it is a technical limitations are, you guessed it, fangirls!
When you have up to 50 people at once, running around with AI, there is no issue having 50 people jumping around in game. In fact, having to have an AI for an additional 38 people takes more resources than co-ordinating another 38 real human players.
Go figure, but they won&...
It looks like MS keep delivering in the game department this far.
So far I gotten Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, soon Project Sparc and then the drop of Titanfalls.
It is good to have a lot of games to play when there typically isn't much to play early in the console cycle!
As shown over and over and over, price alone does not determine if it is suitable for casual.
A combination of prices and features do!
Xbox One has the appeal of casuals, they just need to nail the price.
Take a look at the ipad or iphone, do you think casuals buy them?
@goat:
That would only be true if people didn't ditch the laptop, and get smart phones and tablets instead. Tablets and phones are still a horrible device to type on compared to a laptop.
The idea that you need specialized tools for specialized endeavors is old fashion. Converegence of devices is preferred!
Take your TV, it is now a smart TV that can play Netflix, connect to a cable box, connect to your PC, your tablet and even your phone...
What is mind boggling is people like you fried.
I can only imagine if people stopped smart phones from being, by stating, i don't want a device that is a jack of all trades, but master of none.
I just want my phone to be a phone!
.....oh wait!!!
@Gremdude:
"Nobody wants to swap batteries. That is so 1995. And rechargeable batteries suck."
And playing tethered to a cable is not 1995 on the DS4 cause you ran out of battery after only 6-7 hours?
That 6-7 hours will reduce to 4-5 hours in about a year.
That said, the Xbox One controller do have a play and charge kit for $20, and it works just like the DS4, but with a long charge cord.
If conven...
