Xbox business is a small section of MS, but it's potential is humongous.
MS already is setting this up with SkyDrive, Skype and MS Office on Xbox One. This is the new PC in the living room strategy.
The console is growing out of being just a kids toy so we will have to wait and see. I think it will take off once it gets all the robust features set nailed down, and the price drops.
@tar:
The hype comes from seeing the amazing game play, and the fact it comes from the makers of CoD. On top of that, all the reports of actual people playing it is gushing awesomeness!
I have not heard a single bad comment from somebody tested it, and the people that has, has gone right back into the 3-hour waiting line to try it again.
However, yes, I will wait until March to find out myself. Hype doesn't mean it will be great, but it s...
Everyone that played the game tells you how amazing the game is, why do you care what the player count is?
It's like you experience this amazing game, and people ask, why isn't the game 740p instead of 720p. It is inconsequential!
Many games has lower player count, and many games has very high player count and was completely devoid of fun. A prime example was MAG, which had 256 players.
Bigger isn't necessarily better. I like play...
The casual market will drop right into MS hands when the prices start to drop on these consoles. Right now what fuels console sales are early adopters, and they are more drawn to pixels and the like.
Once that wears off, guess who is buying consoles?
lol!
That is pretty funny, albeit sexist. I give you a bubble for being funny, but take it back for being sexist.
So no bubble for you, but a nice chuckle!
I lived through the GHz wars when Intel put their R&D muscle into cramming as much GHz out as possible, and AMD eventually designed a more efficient chip with less GHz and won the war.
Point being, don't play numbers like pixel count or player count. Last I checked, high pixel count game like Crysis and high player count game lik MAG sucked balls!
I will judge the game when I play it, not based on a stupid number. It is the total experience that matte...
Apparently Sony released in almost 4 times the number of countries MS did, so yeah, Sony is spread very thin!
@volkama:
unless you are a fangirl.
The things I care for is, the system isn't constantly down for maintenaince or can't keep up.
I want it to be smooth, but PS+ rental games sure is nice. That adds great value. Just don't loose my information to hackers again.
@hatsune:
I don't know, lately it seems like the worst ps fangirls has been loosing bubbles and it has been a much nicer place around here. n4g still has a long way to go left though.
Heading over to reddit. Much more pleasant there.
"To be off topic though the reason why this development studio will be making exclusive titles for the vita and xbox one is because they'd rather work with the systems with similar hardware power be...
It was confirmed by MS that the game sharing was the full game, not a demo as wrongly reported by many.
The only kicker is that only one person (other than the owner I believe) can play the game at the same time.
@georgeenoob:
The issue with PSN isn't just it going down with growing pains. The maintenaince alone takes the service down.
You constantly hear about scheduled maintenance. That is what used to be back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now a days, with the cloud everything is updated on the spot and new instances provisioned.
Sure a system will be taken down for maintenance, but not every other week! More like once a year or less....
It's obviously not Halo Next. That sounds more like an internal name for the "next" Halo game!
@SilentNegotiator:
No only those that are blown out of proportion (by people like you) when two users report it out of the millions sold.
The rest of us, go on playing games like nothing has happened.
It's not like about 1 out of every 100 console is dead on arrival:

.....
It boggles my mind that the fangirls always claim sold out, but fail to mention the almost 4 times as many countries released the PS4 is.
For all we know, if Sony shipped the same amount of units to the same regions MS did, stock would be on the shelf too!
or if MS shipped to as many countries, stock would be dwindle just as fast.
Reality is that we won't know the full extent of demand until both are well stocked and the real content push...
I have not heard a single negative thing about the game from people that ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME!
I only hear negative things from mostly fangirls, and confused people that never even tried the game.
Nuff said!
People are shallow and with shallowness there is this intense search for more pixels and more player counts, but all the while experience and game play is what matters most!
Otherwise I would exclusively be playing on PC for the highest pixel count, and the highest player count, but I don't!
Next gen gaming is about crafting next generation "experience"!

"@nukeitall
The company Sony bought never had a problem with latency, they showed to be stable for game streaming even before Sony bought them out. Onlive had a little issue with that though, If I remember right."
Really?
Because if it was true, Gakai would be a godsend and worth gazillion more than what it was sold for to Sony for just the patents and technology. /sarcasm
Bottom line is there is ...
@Silly gameAr:
"I guess this is the difference between MS and Sony executives."
Yeah, you mean like this:
”The environment where PlayStation wins is best for this industry” (Jack Tretton, 2009)
"It's difficult to talk about Nintendo, because we don't look at their console as being a competitor.” (Kaz Hirai, 2009)
”The Xbox - again, I can't come up with one word to fit. You need a wo...
This is hilarious.
For once, maria's negative Xbox news article submission yielded something worth reading.
@tar:
because people that have played it never complained about the player count, but instead are gushing out how awesome the game is?
whereas all the complaints about player counts come from the same people in every article, that hasn't played the game!
maybe fangirls?
