Every time I see live action trailers, (the re-armament trailer and now this) I tend to think a Halo movie could actually work. And this coming from someone who doesn't even care for Halo that much.
They'll probably bump it down a bit like the article suggested if enough people are angry.
Meh, nothing that hasn't been done already. Unreal Engine 1 was capable of nearly unlimited bot counts with a simple mod/patch. All that mattered was if you had the computer to handle it. Today, that's just about everybody since it's so old.

I didn't think idtech5 looked much better than 4 when I first saw it, but the latest screenshots from Rage are really starting to convince me otherwise.
That's what I've been thinking. I've seen very little discussion about it though. Sure Forza 3 is going to look great, but do people honestly expect 720p to look as clear and sharp as these screenshots? Come on, they're covered in FSAA and AF.

Too bad LFS's netcode isn't nearly as good as it's physics. This would be a lot better if the cars didn't look all jerky.

Looks pretty typical to me. Nvidia normally has better early support, then ATI hits back with a newer driver or hotfixes. Doesn't even look that bad in DX9 considering the 4870 is beating the 260 and the 4890 is beating the 275, which is exactly what they're made to compete with.
I didn't mind the new system, but that definitely puts me in a minority. Props to Valve for listening like always.
At least now I don't have to hear a rant for every person that just had the new system explained to them. The whining simply wouldn't stop.

Meh, only going to enjoy this for the same reason I like the first two: designing and building awesome homes.
I doubt it was entirely pointless. Somebody probably had a grudge.
This has happened with all of the class updates.
Personally, I find the first hour of a class updates always hilarious. Its always funny seeing entire teams of a single class running around. If it really bugs people that much just grab the class that best counters the updated class.

Oh man... I wish they had links to downloads for the levels. I don't care if there's nothing to do or play, it'd still be fun to just look at.
