I just wonder if this will be more profitable and allow for a decent player base.
For example, would this be a case of a $20 game selling 100,000 copies vs $60 game selling 10,000. Making bad business decisions also effects whether or not someone will purchase your product especially if it's sub-par, not to say this is a bad business decision since I don't know the quality of the product.
Plus, throwing in another HDD is a nice option compared to what we get on consoles. At least there's the ability to give ourselves more space for more stuff.
It's true games get pirated, but the common logic from people on this site should dictate that the Witcher 3 Sales shouldn't be this high on PC since it's on PC and it has no real DRM protection.
For PC being nothing, but piracy, it sure has been striving for decades.
So much denial in these comments about the PC markets being better than the console markets, not for just the gamer this time, but also the dev/publisher. Face it, humans don't like being controlled mercilessly and these horrible DRM practices on so many PC games prove just how much better a game does DRM free.
Anyone can argue whatever, but it's your opinion vs one of the biggest PC market players. I think it's obvious who I'm going to listen too.
I hope he's flattered and doesn't file a restraining order against the owners of these things.
Given the progression of technology, I wouldn't doubt it. I have this feeling the 9th generation will be like something never seen before to still make consoles relevant. Either an under powered device meant purely for streaming content or the next big peripheral boxed with the main unit like the Wii and its motion controls.
My god, a monster has been unleashed... and this monster is can only bring greatness and love.
Then it's easy to follow what companies tell us I guess. What allows a company to come up with data to support the what they say about piracy effecting sales and what proof is their that an individual would have bought the game in the first place? Take their diary and recover plans of stealing a game that they said they were going to pay for?
The two I can only call "leaders of the PC markets" even think piracy isn't the issue here.

You're never going to convince the people on this site. Company tells them how it is, that's what they believe. Facts don't matter on this website.
More proof DRM fails. Undertale didn't have DRM and is already over 1.2 million sales. http://steamspy.com/app/391...
As a PC gamer, it really does. If you give me no reason to buy a console and I can get say Fallout 4 on my PC and more, then why would I get a console and Fallout 4 for that console? Uncharted 4 might be the only reason I want a PS4 and Rare Replay is the only thing making me want a Xbone. I already got a Wii U, but that's because it's been hacked and I can buy an external drive and install all my physical copies to it and backup eShop titles so I don't bloody lose them for whatev...
I doubt that. It's probably that it's just a good game and people willingly support it.
If a game is good and worth buying, PC gamers will buy it!
Yes. Not even the hackers care about it anymore.
This is a neat little video series. I like seeing people reminiscent over past achievements and yeah it really is nice that computers are rather durable now a days.
Also they're doing that scummy GPU exclusive features thing. Sad the only thing bottlenecking my R9 270x is bad game design choices.
So true, just look at the 3DS.
It's sad as to what the Vita could have been.
I have a PS3 on CFW and can play games from my external eSATA 1TB HDD by ripping games from my physical copies. I don't plan on getting rid of my PS3 until an emulator comes out for it.
I hope they at least provide a demo so I can determine whether or not I want to buy it.
