If they want devs to take full advantage of a console then stop making unique libraries that only exist on the platform. x86 is maybe the most open platform ever, but since they need their precious security measures it ends up straining the dev in the process. Let's just ditch consoles and go PCs that way everyone except MS, Sony, and Nintendo wins.
I'm still proud of the fact I own an original PS1 copy of this game. I do think the remake is far better, but this is still a great classic that I don't regret playing through to the end.
And they're both still huge examples of the ol' "consoles don't need to be upgraded every 3 years" to shame. I blame the companies putting these machines out for hammering that false statement into people's heads btw.
Consoles or innovation, pick one.
I don't know why anyone would want to emulate a game on a console when a cheap dual core laptop chip can emulate just to N64 and maybe even Dolphin just fine. I say Dolphin due to how much 5.0 has improved stuff.
I'm only for the gamer. A conman is a conman and no we shouldn't accept this anymore. Just, because scummy behavior is the norm doesn't mean we have to accept it.
I'm not sure alien overlord. What do you think?
Get rekt Sean.
Thank you Henkaku!
Wait for the game reviews.
I'll bite, what do you mean?
I think anyone who tries to compare something important to something minuscule already lost the argument. Godwins Law anyone?
Just wanted to put this article here and leave this at that. http://rog.asus.com/2516201...
To be fair though, blaming the platform for lazy devs isn't a good thing and that goes for all platforms (Arkham Knight) since it's almost the same as giving them a free pass. I would think that the most open source platform has plenty of resources and references for any team attempting to tackle development on PC to learn as they go and get it right eventually or at the very least hire people who can work on PC ports/games. Not sure what the deal with Bioshock is, but like Fable Anni...
But really, I do find PCs objectively superior in this day and age due to how cheap parts are getting. A $450-500 rig can get you 1080P 60FPS on the latest AAA titles and games can become uber cheap on PC while still allowing devs and publishers to make money.
I don't want to force someone or berate someone for not gaming on what I do, but I guess it's just something you gotta try out in order to believe. My interest in technology is why I'm mainly a PC gamer. ...
And for today's clickbait article of the day.
True that. Good thing PC can get the best out of both worlds.
I could care less if a PC game fully utilized my i7 and 270x. With that in mind, it would be nice if games didn't try to look as real as possible and just focused on making the game fun and run smooth. Soon we'll be seeing hallway walking simulators that look like real life, but run like crap and as the name suggests, you just walk down a hallway and beat the game.
"Hallway March, 10/10. Best $80 ever spent on a AAA title." Coming soon to PS5. /s
Don't AAA demos hardly resemble the "finished" product these days?
Now they have their excuse to poor sales. lol
