Here's my two cents; it's an incredibly large franchise that's decades old and still has a large fanbase. Get it together SEGA. What happened to "We do what Nintendon't."? Not meaning to say they should take down Nintendo, it's just funny they boasted so much, but fell so hard.

The difference in 4k vs 1080P isn't even that great though. Increasing textures only makes things less blurry at this point. It's not the same leap as 32x32 to 1024x1024 which added a great amount of detail that couldn't be achieved. Unlike movies, games can render assets and make them look better just fine.
How big is the 4K display and hardware market share anyway? Aren't those markets still rather young and expensive to enter?
This will only affect videos and movies though. This title seems click baity, so I just wanted to make that clear.

These console wars are hilarious.
What has PC gaming been doing for years? A 5750 or something else above in the 5000 series lineup is still good enough for gaming and so are old Athlon II, Phenom II, and Core 2 in the CPU side of things. The only thing you probably need to upgrade is RAM or if you have extra slots for it, simply buy more RAM. 8GBs to be exact.
To anyone who reads this, a lot of people like the person I'm responding to say you have to upgrade every few years just to keep up with PC gami...
All I can say, is I'm glad I got my Wii U.
I'm already a PC gamer, but if they keep the exclusives coming then of course I'll buy a PS4 and the exclusives.
Yet Sony actually has exclusives.
I'm sure it'll come at a beast price though or be a fraud of a console. I'm mad at Sony and MS for taking advantage of consumers who don't charge of their own knowledge and experience in gaming. Consoles are some of the most outdated computers in existence, even new ones.
It's weird that consoles are becoming what people criticize PCs for on the whole "you gotta upgrade every two years to stay up to date". If it were true that I need to get a new GPU every year, at least that's only 1 part I need to upgrade, though the 750ti is still a relevant card despite launching in February 2014 and that's not changing anytime soon for the mainstream.
I bet this thing will be around $800 to make and MS will sell them at $600.
