The original Nier was released on 22nd April 2010 for the PS3 and the XBox360.

Nier: Automata is being released on the 23rd February 2017 for the PS4 and although there is a Microsoft Windows release planned there is no release date. Even when the game is released Microsoft will not get any royalty since games for the PC are royalty free unless Microsoft has a hand in developing and/or publishing the game.

Easier said than done.

You have Steam, GoG and Origin to name a few game sellers and Microsoft only makes money off a game if they had a hand in the making or the distribution of the game.

Even though the Microsoft Windows operating system is predominate on the desktop (includes laptops and tablets) anyone can develop and distribute a game for it without paying Microsoft a royalty. Of course, Microsoft could make difficult for any game to be installed un...

A word of caution about the update file that you will need to complete your installation (the link in the article does have this) is not your normal PS4 update file which is about 300MB in size. What you need is the "New Installation" file which is over 800MB in size.

I actually replaced my 500GB disk with a 1TB 7200 rpm disk which actually gives me a 20~25% performance boost in loading times although that does depend on the game. Personally, I prefer an SSD (app...

The graphics in the original Nier were more on the line of a high-quality PS2 game but they were still very acceptable. If you like hack and slash then you will like the original Nier. The game has the usual RPG elements as well as crafting and multiple endings.

The female character is, well straight out of a lingerie magazine and I did not hear of the SJW's complain about her.

Keep the SJW's away from "Deviant Art" http://www.deviantart.com/b... they would have a brain aneurysm. On second thoughts maybe one of Darwin's laws would kick in.

Actually the original Nier female character had much more revealing clothing or lack off.

I can already use my PS4 with a cable to my PC and there is little if any configuration to be done. All the buttons and even the trackpad works although that does depend on the game.

I don't suppose many Steam games support a six-axis sensor?

Have you tried "Darkest Dungeon" that is a turn-based and strategy RPG? If you have a PS+ account you get 60% off the normal price.

Turn based and active turn based are much more suitable for RPG's that have two or more party members. Bloodborne the Souls series and even further back to the King's Field series are what is called Action RPG's although what you can and can't do is dictated by your RPG statistics.

I don't know about a pre-order but I did finally get "The Old Hunters" DLC and since I don't like reading spoilers I promptly got killed. Of course, I made sure I did not have many blood echoes with me so dying was not a big deal.

What I like about the Souls/Bloodborne games is that even though they are tough they are also fair and if you die and die you will and it is all your fault. This is one the main reasons why players who are willing to learn and &q...

@Vegamyster

From VGChartz:
- Dark Souls (all platforms) sold 3.08 million
- Dark Souls 2 (all platforms) 3.01 million
- Dark Souls 3 (all platforms) sold 2.11 million

In contrast which is pretty good for a single platform:
- Bloodborne (PS4 only) sold 2.48 million.
- Demon's Souls (PS3 only) sold 1.82 million.

Not that I am interested in Knack or even Knack 2 since I am not that keen on platformers or Beat 'em ups but Knack did sell 1.73 million worldwide which is not stellar but then again it was not a flop.

I actually found that part where the lead put a pair of headphones on his head to be cringeworthy. I think allot of people are calling Scalebound a "Bro Action RPG". Somehow I think I prefer Bloodborne or if you really like dragons then Skyrim since I have already put over 300 hours into that game.

BTW. I have actually watched the whole video. The words "cringeworthy" and "Bro Action RPG" IMHO are still appropriate.

Providing you have proof of purchase and can provide a written statement that you did use the "Other OS" feature you can get $55 USD. If you can also provide proof that you purchased the PS3 with one the reasons to be able to use the "Other OS" feature you can get $9 USD. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Somehow I doubt that Sony will be paying much money for removing the "Other OS&qu...

I still have my original PS3 and it works fine since it can play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. After all, that is what I got for anyway.

I would be curious to know how many people actually used the "Other OS" feature since if you did install Linux it really made a very poor Linux machine. I personally never used the feature since you could run Linux on just about computer such as my 10-year-old HP dv6000 laptop which even now runs the latest release of Fedora 25 Linux....

Still playing that kiddy game called "Lords of the Fallen" and will be replaying "Resident Evil" when I get the chance. Of course, I could always play that toddler game "Zombi". Next, you will be telling us that Bloodborne and the Dark Souls series are far too easy.

Obviously, I would not buy a PS2 game that I already own although if there is a PS2 game that I really like and it has a lot of replayability then the best solution would be to purchase a remaster since you get improved graphics plus trophies.

If I did not have the PS2 game or any game that I wanted to play I would also expect to pay for it especially if it is a remaster for the console I wish to play it on.

It's not overly difficult to replace the DS4 battery with a higher rating one.

If you don't like long cables across the floor get a battery bank for those long play time. Just remember to charge it up before use. You can even get a battery bank that clips onto your controller.

Whenever I download a game I can see the shortcut on my main screen and If I wish I can immediately move it into a folder of my choosing. As for download speed, I can see to...

I definitely liked the demo and although you did not use some of the items that were picked up bar the health ones this game will have crafting just like the original Nier did. This game is a must play for me although I still have a huge backlog of games to play before I get it.

The original Nier (PS3 and XBox360) was a hack and slash RPG although IMHO the graphics were those of a high-quality PS2 game. Still, the gameplay was fast paced with the usual RPG elements and craf...

What is interesting with the 4K Bluray player in the XB1s is the fact that it has nothing to do with games (name one game that is on a 4K Bluray disk). Still, the 4K Bluray player is a value added feature if you want to watch 4K movies. The problem with owners of the XB1s purchasing DVD, HD or 4K movies is that Microsoft does not get a cent from the transaction.

Since Sony does own a Movie studio any movie of theirs on HD Bluray, 4K Bluray or even DVD means a percentage of...
