I do think you should be using the words "Pay to Play online".
Having a PS+ or XBox Live account does let you play online providing the game you are playing has an online capability but that is not all what these services offer you.
I will use PS+ as an example but XBox Live similar features.
With my PS+ account, I do have access to online gaming, that's a given. In addition, I get two or more free games a month that are m...
Even retired with all your motor skills and facilities intact won't help you play all the console RPG's that have come out over the last three years and I am not including MMO's or games for the PC.
As an example, I have a FAT PS3, a PS4 and over 200 games most of which are RPG's. Even if I just limit myself to Six PS4 RPG's and say 13 PS3 RPG and allow myself to play until completion (just end game not completionist or speed run) for say 8 hours a day s...
I do agree that a Dragon's Dogma 2 game or something equivalent would be nice providing Capcom did fix up a few things like less boring quests and more varied enemy encounters even when back-tracking. Having a day/night and weather cycle could easily be worked into enemy type and location encounters. Capcom proved that can do this very much later in the game.
In the original Dragon's Dogma some of the loot found in chests was random although most had the same item...
Personally I don't mind microtransactions on a free to play game since that is a means of covering expenses. Where I draw the line is when microtransactions become pay to win and when that happens I usually delete the game.
I take it you never read or post on IT forums? It is not a matter of liking or disliking Microsoft it all boils down to just not trusting Microsft.
Yes in more way than one. 😉
I always have said that Scalebound looked liked a Dude Bro RPG and the voice acting was cringeworthy. I never once said that gameplay was terrible since IMHO the gameplay looked solid and it looked like there was a story there.
Again my opinion, but I do think the game would be better suited to single player only not multiplayer although I can understand and appreciate multiplayer coop or even PvP.
Yes, there is always a Halo. 😉
From the trailers and gameplay Scalebound came across as a Dude Bro coop RPG with cringeworthy voice acting. That said the actual gameplay and graphics did look solid enough.
I think what we have here is a difference of opinion between the Japanese way of doing business compared to the Microsoft way of doing business. Unfortunately for Microsoft, this cancellation is now going to make many Japanese companies wary of doing business with Microsoft.
Red Faction was on the PS2, Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX and NGuage. Granted the sequels were on other consoles such as the Gamecube, XBox, PS3 and XBox360. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
Even though the games had destructible environments none of those games relied on the Cloud.
The Cloud or as it was known in the 1980's Remote IT Services can be a very useful for many t...
I still have my PS2 version and it is a good game.
The game is turn based but you do have the choice where you can micromanage your party (up to four) or control one or more members with the other party members automatically fighting or healing. You can also change your settings on the fly when you confront stronger enemies or in boss battles.
The link provided lists the games coming to the PS4 from January 2017. http://www.releases.com/l/p... Obviously some of these games are multiplatform although there are quite a few that are PS4 exclusive. There are also some which will be ported to the PC, some with a release date, some without a release date.
@Nyxus
First party exclusives will definitely help launch the Nintendo Switch but to keep that momentum going they will need third party support and unfortunately most AAA games that can run on the PS4 including the XB1 may be graphically inferior to what can be displayed on the Switch. For some people that may not be an issue although for others that may not be acceptable.
Annother, issue could be that the third party games that get ported to the switch...
The Dude Bro voice acting and the use of a stereo headset had to be Microsoft's influence
If the demo is anything to go by this game is going to be as good if not better than Gravity Rush remastered.
If you are thinking of getting GR Remastered and have a PS+ account it is on sale from the PSN store and it has three free DLC missions of two parts each. The story is interesting and as a hint "Get those Gems" and "Don't worry about upgrading your health till later".
If you have not played the demo and want to, you can pla...
Pretty much any decent spreadsheet could produce that paper. Adding images and colour is child's play.
I do think this sends a clear message to Japanese developers to not make games for the XB1 unless Microsoft throws buckets of money your way. 😉
I think allot of Japanese game developers are now going to avoid Microsoft like the plague now.
I would not say the game looked generic but it definitely had that Dude Bro RPG and cringeworthy voice acting feel to it.
You are sort of right with the PS4's launch titles http://au.ign.com/wikis/pla... however, if you look at them there are some AAA third party games although there were quite a few different developers. and that is the part which counts.
The bottom line is if you get developers on your side you will get games and so far this has proven to be true.
