I would be very happy if "From Software" brought out a game like Bloodborne which has "Lovecraftian Horror" themes and called it something other than "Bloodborne 2". Still, I can understand from a marketing perspective if a game like I just described was called "Bloodborne 2".

I guess you must have a problem with simple boolean algebra if you had trouble with FF12 although you can play this game like FF4, FF5 and FF6 using either turn-based or active turn-based. FF12 allowed you to program your characters although it was possible to just use turn-based and to switch off those annoying (wellI thought so) battle lines,

Sure the character "Vaan" is not that likeable but he is probably one of the best customizable characters in the game esp...

I have FF15 and I spend about an hour doing the tutorials.

Graphics-wise the game is excellent but for some reason, I could not bring myself to actually start the game, maybe because I had too many other RPG's that I was currently playing. Oh well back to Horizon Zero Dawn, Dark Souls 2/3 and NioH, Sigh!

If you have a PS+ subscription I take it you put NioH in your library or downloaded it?

If you have the game try playing a twilight mission rated at over 100 when you are under lever 30. Good luck because you will need it. 😎

Hints:

1) Select the shark spirit as your first spirit since it gives you 100 life when you beat an enemy.

2) Backstab like in the Souls/Borne games can be an instant kill or it can take o...

Final Fantasy 4, 5 and 6 allowed the player to select active turn-based if they wished.

The following URL cover the battle systems of the Final Fantasy series: https://finalfantasy.fandom...

Err we are talking about "Best Roleplaying Games of the Decade" and Morrowind came out in 2002 which is 18 years ago.

From a personal point of view, I would also like to add Horizon Zero Dawn and NioH (those "twilight missions" can be a shock). I have not played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (on my to-do list) or Divinity so I cannot comment. I have far too many games, sigh!

What game uses the DS4's touchpad as a pause button?

I predominately play RPG's and some features actually use the swipe (The Witcher 3 and Gravity Rush) and on others, the touchpad acts as a multi-touch device (try Dark Souls 2 and 3).

The Surge, Ashen, Lords of the Fallen, Hollow Knight and Blasphemous are all available on the PS4 as well as the XBox1 so why specifically mention the XBox1? Ah! it is all clear now, the site is thexboxhub.com, makes perfect sense.

Of course, you could try games like NioH (free if you had a PS+ subscription for last month) which is available for both the PS4 and MS Windows (oh sorry, no XBox1 release!)😉

BTW. NioH is IMHO a great game and unlike t...

That's pretty much my experience as well, with (in its day) the SNES being my RPG console of choice, although to be fair there were quite a few RPG's on the Sega Megadrive (i.e. Sega Genesis for those in the USA).

Since I always have prefered RPG's as well as action-adventure games, when the PlayStation was brought out by Sony I jumped ship to that platform although I did hang on for the Nintendo64 and GameCube, however, on the release of the Wii I was well and...

I am pretty sure the PS4pro sales were about one in five PS4's sold. https://au.ign.com/articles...

Some very rough stats: Since the PS4pro was released on the 10th November 2016 about 45 million PS4 consoles have been sold (

I would also add NioH to that mix. I have not played "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" (also by From Software) yet but it is on my to-do list.

@Kurisu

If your PS4 is loud while playing games then something is wrong.

Normally the problem is overheating and a quick check of the PS4's vents can show if the vents have been clogged with dust and/or lint. If this is the case you will need to clean the vents and a quick search on Google will show you have to safely do that.

Obviously, if your PS4's vents are clean and the machine is still noisy then the solution to the proble...

May I ask, how many PC games actually support HDR?

4K is nice but HDR does make a significant difference and all PS4's do support HDR.

BTW. It must be noted that the XBoxslim and (of course) the XBoxx do support HDR as well.

I totally agree that 1440p is the prefered display resolution for PC's especially since most gaming monitors of that resolution allow for framerates of over 144fps which is IMHO better for games which are fast-paced such as FPS's.

The thing is, don't discount 4K displays since they do have (well the better ones) HDR which does make the picture quality so much better although that is subjective.

As an example, I have an LG 31.5" HDR 4K mon...

For some people, the act of not finishing a game (usually RPG's) can give that game a lot of replayability while finishing that game can mean that the player will never play that game again.

When you play predominately RPG style games it is very easy to get sidetracked to the point that when you return to the game it is much more fun to restart the game and if there is a difficulty selection to select higher difficulties which in the case of "The Witcher 3" an...

The "What to By?" question depends on if you have a PS4 and a Switch. If you only have either a PS4 or a Switch the question is rather pointless and "of course" you do have to ask if you like or will like the Atelier series?

Yes, nothing like going into battle and seeing a red skull over the enemies health bar and what is even worse multiple enemies with red skulls. The hint in cases like this is "run".

Of course, you can always go against a Necrophage which has its spines out and recovering heath faster than you can take it off while at the same time it is attacking you and your health bar is rapidly depleting. Hint "run" and come back when you have better attributes such a...

When the PS4 was released most games were 1080p, however, with the release of the PS4pro some developers started to produce 4K assets for their games especially since 4K displays started to drop significantly in price.

Surprisingly Sony provided an update to the firmware that allowed all PS4's to use HDR so that if a game supported HDR (many games now do) then it would work with a decent HDR 4K display.

While a PS4pro is the "go-to" for HDR...

Unless you choose to select the harder difficulty modes (the best being "Death March") you probably won't bother with potions, oils and bombs which are all upgradable (decoctions are not oils but can be useful) such that the game effectively becomes a hack and slash adventure which IMHO makes the combat boring.

I found it was well worth upgrading your signs skills (blue) first followed by attack power skills (red) when you go to Skellige but one perk I strongl...
