At least it's not as bad as the Australian offers:
1) EA SPORTS™ UFC® 4
2) Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure
At least you can buy the full game of "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep" later.... WTF?
Sigh! Oh well maybe next month will be better. Still I do have a huge amount of PS+ games to tide me over.
I take it you have not played "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning". Entering and leaving a building is an absolute pain (loading for HZD is almost instantaneous compare to this game), although once you leave a town there are virtually no loading times even when you are inside a cave (there is some loading to enter and leave a cave). There is an auto upgrade for the PS5 though.
The only times HZD has long load times is when you use a travel pack or you restore from a sa...
While I did bookmark the game I actually downloaded and played "Mortal Shell". Somehow I am not overly keen on starting a game with full attributes (at least according to the reviews I have seen).
Actually, I think "Mortal Shell" is a much better game although when you first start you are not sure what you are doing. I do suggest that you look at some game-play (sans spoilers) and get an understanding of the basics before playing.

I am still trying to get a PS5 and I have no intention of paying a scalper.
You can actually do something like this in the original game although what we have just seen in the clip from the latest release is so much more impressive.
There is a technique in the original game that can be called "luring", in that you set up traps (usually explosive or fire) and either by whistle (good for one machine or human), weak arrow (from a distance) or rock (can alert multiple machines so be careful) lure the machine(s) to your traps.
I have yet to see a PS4 update causing problems and I have had my PS4 over seven years. Most of the time the update takes about two to three minutes assuming you put your PS4 in standby so updates are downloaded when you are not playing your PS4.
Actually if you setup your standby to suspend a game you can restart that same game in a few seconds although if your game requires an internet connection you may have to restart that game but that depends on the game.

Writing from Australia, we can get a 1 TB 2.5" drive for about AU$59 (US$44) and a 2 TB drive for AU$85 (US$64). Both of these drives are Western Digital and support USB3.0 (not that important on a PS4 but you definitely want this for a PS5).
It must be noted that the preferred storage expansion on a PS5 is an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (check for compatibility) and while you can use a hard disk drive it will only be used to play PS4 games or transfer PS5 games to the main and ...
The output graphics for TW3 on the base PS4 is HDR* 1080p and if you have a PS4pro the resolution is HDR 4K @ 60fps. If you have the PS4 version you can play it on a PS5 with at least the same performance of a PS4pro. From what I can gather if you have the PS4 version of TW3 you can get the PS5 update for free when it comes out.
Note: All PS4's support HDR if the game has this, although that does not mean that all displays that support HDR will be able to detect the HDR...
Making a game easy is in IMHO a wast of time and money (if you have purchased the game) for the majority of players. Sure some people would love to play a game that is stupidly easy but why play any game unless there is some challenge and/or skill requirements.
Giving the player a choice of difficulty is acceptable in single player games but once you start playing online it is almost impossible to have multiple levels of difficulty especially if other players can invade th...
Simplistic answer, No!
Basically (IMHO) all "From Software" games are made to challenge the player, but unlike some of the retro games they are fair. Sure the first time player is going to get a shock such as the covered lava pit in Kings Field 4 which will kill you instantly within the first two minutes of game play.
Fast forward to the first Boss in Dark Souls 3. Looks easy, "just put out that twisted sword" and?? Well you may surviv...
I have yet to complete any of the Souls games, not because I can't but because I really like these games and don't want to. Yes, I am well aware of NG+ etc.
I definitely want to give Elden Ring a try but if I find it as interesting and challenging as the Souls games I probably won't want to finish it but to get so far (a few 10's of hours) and restart.
Playing Genshin Impact on the PS4 requires you to use a controller which allows you to switch rapidly between the four members of your party since each member should have a different attribute attack (example: "fire devastates ice").
Not sure how you can effectively fight using a smartphone especially when you have multiple enemies with some having different attributes such as "ice", "earth" (now you are in trouble), "lightning", &...
What do you expect from the anti-vax crowd who clutch their pearls and scream "My freedoms" when they now appear to be over 95% of the COVID cases in the hospitals and if COVID does not kill them they now stand a good chance of having lung damage for life.
Biden has not mandated forced vaccination. If you don't want to get vaccinated for whatever reason you will be required to get weekly testing. This only applies to the federal government workers and any comp...
It is not that difficult spending 10's of hours playing Genshin Impact.
The only beef I have with the game is the fact that you can't restart the game unless you create a different account. Of course because the game is essentially free it is possible to get sucked into paying money (hence the massive profits) for extra or expanded features.
BTW. Neverwinter (if you like MMO's) is also a free game and like Genshin Impact you don't have to ...
The PS5 (here in Australia) is difficult to get and there is no way I am going to purchase one from a scalper.
Still I do have well over 100 PS4 (mainly PS+) games that will keep me occupied while I wait for a retail PS5 to become available. In addition hopefully Sony will certify more M.2 storage and I don't need a really fast one (i.e: really expensive) since one to three seconds extra loading times is IMHO not a big deal.
A quick Google search for the WD Black (without a heat-sink) 1TB SN850 NVMe SSD from the WD store in the USA is USD$119.99.
The only problem is that I live in Australia and on conversion the price should be AUD$163.36 although if you go to an Australian distributor the price is AUD$320.00 (i.e. AUD$235.00) or higher.
Actually it is problematic getting a PS5 in Australia since the scalpers are having a field day and it now looks like the electronic distrib...
In the Souls/Bourne games you can make the game easier if you pick up an NPC (sometimes two or more) or if you are online, one or more real world players. Of course if you really wish to have a challenge you can play by yourself.
Some exceptional players have even played with pathetic armour and weapons thereby really upping the challenge. Getting invaded by these people is a sure death sentence.
Games like "Oblivion", "Skyrim", "...
I think "A Plague Tale" is in the order of 50GB so I would have to delete some games. Of course I will put it in my library so as not to miss out.
I did play the demo and it appeared to be interesting, however, because I was playing Horizon Zero Dawn with the Frozen Wilds DLC at the time I only played for an hour or so.
As an aside I don't have a PS5 yet (very short supply in Australia) but I do think Sony should allow and make recommendatio...
The problem here is the fact that the origninal HZD allowed the player multiple difficulty choices (you could also change while playing) and I assume HZD Forbidden West will have the similar difficulty choices. Although in the new game plus of the original once you set your difficulty you cannot change it.
I am assuming that the play though of HZD FW was on "normal" so the game would be between 40 and 50 hours. Of course there are always players who are really goo...
